"Carlos was a joy to work with. Patient knowledgeable and thorough. His price was middle of road vs other bids but I chose him because he was the company not some front man. I'm happy with that choice and encourage others to consider him for your home projects"

Blown-In Insulation - Install or Upgrade, Soundproofing, Spray Foam Insulation , and 2 more
"I hired Corona Insulation to remove old insulation and straw from underneath a crawlspace of an addition to our home. We bought our home 3 years ago, and one of the prior owners apparently thought it was a good idea to have layers of straw (think "bales of hay", as there was a crazy amount of it) on the floor of this crawlspace area. All it did was invite mice and probably other rodents to live there, and eventually find their way into our house (which mice have). So, as you can see, we needed this cleaned out and redone properly. Ricardo from Corona Insulation was my main contact from the beginning after going through HomeAdvisor - he then came out to do give a free estimate, and then once hired, he was also the person who handled the job on his own. Not an easy task! There was a super large amount of straw that he removed along with the old insulation - as well as some not-used/not-connected electrical outlets, a couple poles, broken pieces of wood, etc...in short, he cleaned everything out of the crawlspace that the prior owners had left there. There were 2 vents that prior owners had set up to carry heat/central air to the addition above. I say "set up", but one of the vents wasn't even connected, and the other was half-way laying on the ground, covered with the straw. Ricardo informed me that they were both filled with all sorts of debris - the straw, dirt, etc. - and, they were also cut up (probably chewed by mice, I'm guessing). So, he also offered to replace the vents and hook them up properly, which I agreed to. Along with replacing the insulation above (under the floor of the addition) with good thick layer of spray insulation, there were also 2 problem areas on the old "wall" of the house (where it used to end before prior owners put up this addition). One was a window that was since broken and not sealed - making it easy for the above-mentioned rodents to find a way into the walls of our home. And then there was another spot/opening along that wall that also wasn't covered. Ricardo suggested putting up some 1/4 inch mesh, and said he could install it for us. My wife was running errands at the time, so she picked some up for him to install for us at no additional cost, to seal up the 2 problem areas. He then used the spray insulation to seal things up further. Ricardo explained everything he was doing along the way, and did everything I wanted him to do. When he hauled the "bales of hay" away and all of the other debris, there was still a lot of clean-up to do on our driveway adjacent to the crawlspace opening...but, Ricardo also swept up everything in sight. Honestly, it doesn't even look like he was there, everything was so clean on our driveway. Corona Insulation did an awesome job, and I'd highly recommend them for your insulation needs."

"Great company. Fair pricing, solid work and friendly."

"I had Koala blow fiberglass insulation into my attic last fall, taking me up to R-49, plus sealing various openings, and I was impressed by the work they did. So I was surprised that a problem I had before was not cured: snow was melting on the roof above my bathtub and shower. I sent a note to Michael Schoenfeld, and he and Nanny, the lead technician on the original job, came out to take a look. Nanny spent about 3 hours, and Michael an additional hour, determining that the inside of the wall behind my showerwas open into the attic. Then Nanny opened up the closet wall behind the bath, installed a block of foam insulation, and sealed it with spray-in insulation, solving the problem. I asked Michael what he would be charging me for the nearly half-day of labor, and he said “nothing.” This is maybe a long way of saying that they spent about half a day fixing a problem that had nothing to do with the original work. To do that for no charge was amazing. Remarkable service!"
