"Reed Kilroy and daughter did an excellent job of resurfacing my kitchen cabinets. Everything went very smoothly from start to finish. They are very professional, explained the process, the time frame and kept me informed about what would happen and when. They were prompt and kept to their schedule. Cleaned up well. I felt that the price was reasonable and the results were beautiful. Would not hesitate to recommend them!"

"This was an amazing experience, we had never done a renovation like this before and it was due to a pipe exploding in our basement. Not only did Perry and his team do an incredible job, they were unbelievably patient and understanding as we dealt with the insurance company and all the hassles they create. Their experience, craftsmanship, and tremendous customer service made this a wonderful experience and our new basement looks incredible! Thank you all again! We will definitely be using these guys for any future renovations/contracting work."

"I have worked with Schmidt Construction for 27 years, both for my business and home renovations. Their work is always high quality and fairly priced. Scott and Nick are very professional, skilled and hardworking. My last experience with Schmidt Construction included 2 remodeled bathrooms. One bathroom was made accessible for a senior citizen - included walk-in marble shower with built-in seat and new non-skid tile flooring. Being highly skilled in accessible modifications, I would not have hired anyone else for the job. Both bathrooms are beautiful! They are the only contractors I will use or recommend!"

"Jim and his team built the best deck I could imagine for the best rate by far. Super impressed with the work of American Craftsman. Also, it's important to note, the deck was originally denied by the township. Jim actually helped me at no cost file a variance and showed up the day of my hearing in front of the township board to help me out. We won the hearing and the deck was built. Very happy and highly recommend the American Craftsman team."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
Chadds Ford Addition & Remodeling Contractors are rated 4.8 out of 5 based on 503 reviews of 503 pros.
