"I am not one to rate so highly, but Steve and his team were awesome from the start. The job was a big one, (whole house texture and paint with multiple sheetrock repairs. Miguel his team leader was communicative, efficient and eager to please by correcting issues swiftly, and even offering to repaint a room for us as we had told them the wrong color. "We had a complete roof replacement, gutter replacement, screen replacement, as well as sheetrock repair, replacement, and repair done on the interior. Roof replacement included new roof vents and flashing. The work was done due to a bad hailstorm. Ivan was very customer-focused and responsive. The quality of the work is great. When two small leaks occurred at two points of flashing Ivan was out on Saturday with a workman to fix the issue. (This is a common issue with new roofs.) He came on Saturday after we notified him late Friday afternoon and after we told him the leaks were small and not causing damage inside. After the gutters were replaced touch-up painting was done on eaves. The gutter work even improved the drainage system; a downspout was moved and a drain pan was improved by the front door so water no longer cascades on the porch when it rains. For the interior work, the workmen draped the area so that floors, cabinets, and furniture were protected. Clean-up was thorough inside and out. Everything looks great! Ivan is efficient. He sends calendar invites so that you know when the different aspects of the work will be done. When Ivan says the work will start at 7:00 a.m. it definitely does. Our repairs were challenging as Ivan and his crew worked around the recent rains. Our roof insatll was delayed a day due to rain. The gutter workers came back several times to finish the work as touch-up painting and caulking cannot be done in the rain. Ivan also texts and calls to ensure that you know what is occurring and to respond to questions or concerns. Ivan did a walk-through with us to make sure we were satisfied with the work. His quotes are clear and detailed. Pricing is fair. We would definitely hire New Elite Roof again! We would recommend them!"

"We have used Nielsen's services in the past when we had wallpaper stripped, wall textured and painting of the interior of our home. He did an excellent job and very pleased with the outcome along with the prep work & clean up. We knew we would use his services in the future. Fast forward to about 5 years later when we decided to purchase a "fixer-upper". Due to the contract agreement when we purchased the fixer-upper we ended up using another GC for all interior work that our realtor provided us & part of the "deal" which ended up not being that at all. Unfortunately, it was not a positive experience and ended up being very costly. We were having water coming in the house from rain which other contractors never addressed. We were kind of forced to start working on the exterior to address these issues. This turned into another major renovation with the exterior this time. I had seen Nielson's FB posts and realized he had expanded his business to remodeling. I gave him a call & he came out and did a thorough bid. I'll go over the highlights of what all we had done. New gutters, repair/replace siding, repair/replace facia, close up an opening with roof, aluminum ceiling in multiple areas replaced with cedar, new cedar railing, new cedar covered patio, tear down of pergola, paint brick and siding of entire home, stain cedar, repair/replace garage door frame, new shingles on additions, new metal roof on sunroom, painting of interior glass to block view of outside along with addressing our rain issues our previous contractor failed to do (let me say Nielsen went above and beyond tackling this issue and would not stop until it was addressed). Let me also mention it rained almost the entire month of October when we were doing the bulk of the work! Even with that, he was having his crew out working whenever it wasn't raining. I was thoroughly impressed with his coordinating trades and pulling permits (um, not all contractors are honest about this!!). Any issues we ran into (mainly the rain), he was on top of it and dealing with it. He is easy to work with, always greets you with a handshake and a smile. He aims to please and make sure you are happy with the work being done. It just takes one bad experience to make you appreciate the honest, hardworking contractors that are out there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone! Thank you, Nielsen and staff, for making this experience not only positive but on budget (no hidden costs and anything additional to the bid we knew about and approved)."

"Joey came out the same day and on time to evaluate the minor repair / shingle damage that occurred at my home via high winds in the area over the prior weekend. The bottom row of shingles above the garage were detached and slid down into the gutter. The job was straightforward and he gave me an acceptable price based on a "handshake" agreement. I immediately cancelled the other quotes I had lined up later that day and the next. Joey left and got the materials and came back to complete the job in an expediate manner. The repair blends in very well with the original shingles that are at least 7 years old. Moreover, the repair is almost indistinguishable. I was provided a 3-year verbal warranty on the repair. "Bruce repaired our back door with amazing precision! It was an awkward metal door that was installed by a prior rehab contractor (over a year ago) from standard to wheelchair width door. The door was never flush or mounted correctly. As time went by, the door became unusable. Bruce tackled the challenge with ease and made the door fit snug, smooth & with a solid feel. For a little extra, he also installed a new storm door we purchased to the same back door. Even though he ran out of time on the first day, he returned the next day and cheerfully finished up and made sure that I was totally comfortable with the feel and sturdiness of the doors. He also suggested an additional safety lock which he picked up and installed that as well for both front & back doors. Once we get our foundation in order, if we have any other issues with any of our doors, we will be calling Bruce for estimates for those adjustments. Pilot Point is fairly far from most decent, reliable contractors. I can't tell you how many flaky guys are around who don't know their craft! Bruce made a difference in the quality of our lives; literally. I take care of my disabled hubby; unable to do even the simple things due to energy or time restraints. Our back door was taken from a 32" to 36" by a contractor we used a year ago. It was never installed correctly and was incomplete. It finally stopped working. Bruce gave a quote for the repair & re-installation, as well as for another nominal fee, to put in a new storm door. When he was done, our door finally fit properly and we now have a beautiful storm door bonus! There are no gaps; it is airtight, snug and easy to open & close. He pointed out where the other contractor missed some points, and showed what needed to be done & why. He was very patient. He did not rush, and actually came the next day to complete it to the level he wanted it to be. All of the "T's" were crossed and "I's" dotted, from what we saw when he was finished. Noting my hubby's handicapped status, Bruce also came up with suggestions of improving & smoothing over transition over the threshold. He adjusted the ramp from outside to fit the new door threshold location, and made helpful suggestions for the transition portion inside the house. He also noted additional safety measure we could install at our door lock area, and we asked that he put it in place, and he did so. Thanks, Bruce! It took a long time to find someone who knows what he is doing. We highly recommend Bruce for those jobs that seem overwhelming, but are very important to you, and they just have to be done. Bruce is the exception, as he knows what he is doing, and he does it very well. You may find his quote a bit high, but he does deliver quality craftsmanship, you get your money's worth and you will not be disappointed!
