"Mack Mombrini with Alton Barnes has done a TON of work on our home and is spectacular to work with. He's professional, a great communicator, has great attention to detail and has experience in so many different areas/can do a wide variety of projects (and if there's something he can't personally do/procure, he has a large network in the area that can help). His pricing is fair and the work gets done in a timely manner. He's helped us with the following: - interior painting (walls, doors, molding/trim) - refinishing of hardwood floors - kitchen remodel (new countertops, backsplash, sink/faucet, refinishing/painting of cabinetry, appliance install) - custom door install/replacement (including widening a doorframe) - outdoor shower repair - next up is staining our fence I don't think there's anything we've asked of Mack that he hasn't been able to do himself or outsource through another subcontractor. Whatever home project we have in mind, we'll always reach out to Mack for help!"

"Claudio came in and checked out the job,I gave him color schemes for each room,This was a huge job,it was an entire new home,Each room being a diffrent shade,it also had a unique ceiling in the middle of the house it did a great job in doing I asked. I also at the end of the job my fussy fussy contracter asked him to finish the cabinets which he did.I also had him paint my front door and and trim and after doing the entire house he stayed and finished it. "Honest and trustworthy...J.R. Reis 's presentation was sincere with clear cut explanation. I was sold at meeting him to review work. Performed the job to perfection. Reliable, responsive,crew respectful to property , job site immaculate at all times. Crew hard working, supervised well by J.R. Also J.R. is a working manager/owner. The job proved to be a challenge working on wood from 1860. It entailed power washing of home, prep, painting trim including farmers porch and shutters. Also sanded to bare wood and stained large deck. Replaced five basement windows. I highly recommend this company. Having J.R. Do additional work. Extremely pleased."

"I have hired DRCR many times over the last 5+ years. I live in a 50 year old house and nothing is level or true, but you would not know this based on their craftsmanship. Below is a summary of the projects that DRCR has completed for me: 1) Total Upper Level Bathroom Renovation 2) Renovated Lover Level 1/2 Bath into a Full bathroom, including new enclosure, tub, vanity, toilet, plumbing, vanity, tile floor, baseboard heating register and expanding power and lighting 3) Added a 4th bedroom 4) Installed an above the ceiling beam and created one large Great Room from individual kitchen, dining room, and living room. 5) Added new cabinets, island, refrigerator cubby, lighting, and power to kitchen 6) Added shiplap, custom built mantle. and baseboard heat registers to Great room 7) installed new floor planks to upper level 8) Hung 11 paneled doors 9) Installed yard fence and deck gate 10) Renovated shed including a new single roof to match house and garage 11) Demoed and Rebuilt my Laundry room due to water leak damage I would not have hired DRCR repeatedly over the last 5+ years if I was not totally satisfied with their great value and superior quality of work. "My wife and I just bought a house in Falmouth and had Anderson paint the interior. It was a difficult job: we took down a lot of old wallpaper and painted a lot of dark stained trim white. Anderson did an amazing job, on schedule, for a good price FOLLOW UP: We hired Anderson again, this time to paint our kitchen cabinets. Once again he did an amazing job! At a fair price and on time!"

- Are you licensed and insured? Not all states require a license for painting homes, but many do. Always use one that’s insured.
- Do you belong to any professional organizations? You’ll find many online, like the Painting Contractors Association or the Finishing Contractors Association?
- Do you have other work I can look at? Always check a portfolio or, in the case of painters, it’s better to look at work they did a few years ago to see how well it’s held up.
- How long will the job take? Get a rough estimate but get it in writing.
- How many people are in your crew? This is especially important if you work remotely. More people generally means more noise, but they’ll be done faster.
- Will I be in the way if I’m home during the painting? You usually won’t be in the way, but this question helps you understand what to expect while they’re working. They’ll need to lay down coverings and do a lot of prep work.
- Do you guarantee your work? Never hire a painter who doesn’t guarantee their work. This often means they’ll rush the prep work, since peeling never happens right away.
- What type of paint do you use, and how long is it rated to last? Different rooms need different paint and the exterior needs exterior paint. It comes in different grades with different guaranteed lifetimes.
- Can you supply a written estimate and contract? Never use a painter who isn’t willing to put his work in writing.
