"I hardly ever hire people to work on my house. I'm a die-hard DIYer. Garage door springs can be dangerous, so I didn't want to do it myself. Worked everything out upfront via text messages. I sent some pictures and got back a firm price before they even came out to the house. They measured, and then returned to replace the springs the next day. They would have done the whole thing in a day, but it wasn't necessary in this case. The two installers were great. It took about 30 minutes to replace the two springs. Highest praise for this company. If I ever need new garage doors, I will use them."

"I called Adam around 1pm, as the spring on my garage door snapped. He told me he could come by 2:30. He look at the system and gave me an estimate and explained that as a small business owner he is charge some serious fees for using things like Yelp. His price was a little higher but he basically told me he would meet me where I would be happy. I agreed and he went to work. He had the springs in stock, which he installed a job well done. He cleaned and tightened everything up, as well. I then asked him if he could explain how to change the seal. Adam told me he would do it as it is just sliding it off an on. I wrote him another check for a little bit more. He would not take it. Well, the job actually took him (and I helped some) another hour and a half because the runner was all bent. He cut and installed a new one, changed out the seal as it was not big enough and generally put in a lot more effort. He would only take that small extra payment. He told me if I had any issues, to call and the work had a two year warranty. Amazingly honest and dedicated to keeping a customer happy. The reviews are all great because he runs a great business!"

"Academy Door and Control Corp showed up on time and was very friendly, honest and professional. The technician took the time to explain what is needed and provided a temporary fix until I can get the garage door replaced. Will be using their services again very soon."
