"Best contractor I have ever dealt with on a personal home project. Fast, courteous, honest, polite and informative. Kelly and his crew did exactly what they said they were going to do for the price they quoted me. I have a 2700 square foot basement that they completely framed for me. I offered them to my house, but they came and went every time through a basement window. They were always on time and always responded to my calls and texts. I will definitely rehire Kelly and his crew again if needed."

"Our experience with Forge Contracting was marked by high integrity, good quality, and high value work. I wanted to acknowledge the satisfaction on our remodel. I must give a 100% satisfied mark as you not only finished the job early and under budget, but with great sub-contractors and excellent workmanship. The job was done very efficiently and timely. I would recommend Forge Contracting to anyone and will welcome any calls or references."

"I've used Rick for numerous projects. The quality of work his company does is fantastic. I've used him for my personal homes, rental homes, and flips. He is a very honest contractor who has even told me times when I've accidentally overpaid for his services. He is fantastic at communicating and working together with you to brainstorm solutions. If ever there is a problem you have with the work done, he is very accountable and will make sure it is done exactly how you want it. His prices are very fair and he completes the work very quickly. One of the best values you can find for a contractor who ticks all the boxes. Honest, professional, accountable, good quality work, communicates, shows up, timely etc."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
