"I met with the sales rep, Steve, first, who came out to our house and explained all the different types of carpeting that fit our budget. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient as I talked to him talked about our needs. We have two young girls with another on the way, so we wanted a carpet that could withstand constant traffic, was stain resistant, and had a good warranty. Empire was running a special that came in higher than we wanted price-wise, but it was a great carpet. After signing the contract, we had some second-thoughts, simply because money was a valid concern. I called Empire and spoke to a customer service representative who helped negotiate a much better price for the same carpet and they even upgraded the padding. Why, you ask? They were aware that I was going to purchase a Stainmaster carpet from Lowe's--definitely not what I wanted to do, but it was within my budget. So, Empire matched the Lowe's price, and gave me a much better carpet and pad. How could I go wrong with that?! Two days before the install, Steve came out again, helped us fill out the paperwork for 12 months of interest-free financing, and made sure my wife liked the choice of carpet I picked out earlier. Again, he was extremely helpful. The day of the install, I received a call early in the morning and they gave me a window of arrival between 8:30-10:00. Do you know how wonderful it was to have such a short window? I mean, who wants to wait around all day with the 4-8 hour window that some places give you? The installers, a four-person team, actually arrived 15 minutes earlier than 8:30, were extremely pleasant, and boy were they efficient. I was still finishing up painting one room, so they immediately went to work in the other three rooms. Once I wrapped up the painting, they moved into that room, and three hours later they were done with everything. They had ripped up the old carpet, disposed of it, installed all the new stuff, and cleaned everything immaculately. They did a 1300+ square-foot job in three hours, and it looked GREAT. Amazing. I would use Empire again without hesitation."
