"If you are looking for a honest individual who won't nickel or dime you, Lucan is your guy. He is very professional and reasonable with his pricing. He is clean and respected keeping our carpet clean. My husband was very pleased with his work as well, and he's pretty hard to please. He seemed very knowledgeable as an electrician from the questions we asked. We will definitely be keeping his number for future jobs."

"So I had a problem where I had to have my entire breaker box replaced. I had a Federal Pacific breaker box. It was the middle of winter and we were without heat in my home. I have two senior citizens that live with me and I am the only breadwinner and they were stuck here in the house all day in the cold while I was at work. Trying to use space heaters was only a temporary solution as they could only heat one small room in the house at a time. I contacted several electricians and Adam was the only one who contacted me on a Sunday and realized how important and dire my situation was. Not only on that same Sunday did he talk to me about my situation and completely express how important my situation was but he also came out to my residence that same day on a Sunday at no cost to me to evaluate the situation. That Monday I gave him the go-ahead to Begin work. the work was completed that Tuesday. The work was outstanding and the craftsmanship was impeccable. But most importantly what stood out to me was the value that I felt from Adam as a representative of this company. It made me feel like somebody actually cared that I and my family were suffering during the middle of winter. So thank you Adam for taking my situation so serious and helping me resolve it in a timely fashion with impeccable craftsmanship. I appreciate it thank you."

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesThe Colony Electricians are rated 4.7 out of 5 based on 1489 reviews of 1489 pros.
