  Comment: I have a horsehair plaster wall that has some bulging and buckling. There is apparent water damage, paint peeling and discoloration from the ceiling to the middle of the wall. The wall is not wet to the touch. There is no plumbing behind the wall or on the floors above us (we are in a first floor condo with two floors above). The damage has existed for more than a year, but seems to have gotten worse, or at least, more apparent in recent days.

  Comment: I have an apartment building at Broderick and Fell in San Francisco. I pipe just broke between the top floor apartment and the apartment below it When the plumber went to repair the pipe he found mold. Probably fed by the pipe leaking before bursting.
