"They showed up on time, did an excellent job, and cleaned up after themselves. We are having a Washer/Dryer installed on our 2nd floor to be near the bedrooms. It is a 150-year-old house with plenty of issues. Jeremy and his helper ran the wire up through a closet, over a bathroom ceiling, and mounted the plug in the back of a closet. No damage and the plug looks like it has been there forever."

"Juan ran a 50 amp wire and installed a 50amp breaker and outlet outside my home for a generator hookup. He also installed an interlock switch and utility power alarm. He showed up on time and did nice work, as well as working with me to design the best solution for my needs. All at a fair price. Definitely would recommend!"

Electrical
"Chris was great. He squeezed us in at a busy time of year and was great at communicating - from providing a free estimate to letting me know when he was available and when he would arrive. He and his assistant were polite, quick, knowledgeable and clean. He replaced 4 light fixtures and installed 2 dimmer switches and I think they were in and out in little more than an hour. Would highly recommend!"

"Joe and Chris exceeded all of our expectations with the job. The job consisted of having to remove the left side door frame and molding from our bathroom door which they took great care in doing thus minimizing any destruction of the plaster walls. They expertly installed the new frame and rehung the door perfectly. They also repaired out front exterior door which was out of plumb and not closing properly. And also replaced our exterior basement door. They also replaced a damaged tongue and groove knotty pine board in our stairwell leading to our upstairs bedroom. Joe and Chris explained everything they had to do to complete the jobs and Joes estimate was reasonable in price. They are both gentlemen with a professional attitude, friendly and easy to talk to about the work and a variety of other topics not related to the job at hand. I highly recommend them."

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesKingston Electricians are rated 4.9 out of 5 based on 166 reviews of 166 pros.
