Found the problem (primarily operator error...oops) and then rewired a circuit to prevent future problems. He was open and frank about future equipment replacement needs (not upselling work that didn't need to be done) and at a reasonable cost - the set inspection/travel fee quoted on the phone. Even reprogrammed the pool pump to make use of lower electrical off-peak rates. I've added him to my phone contacts and will be using him for all my on-site equipment service going forward.
