Electrical wiring & panel upgrades
"I had called around to various electricians and no one was available for 18 weeks. I got in touch with Woodline Electric and Robert had informed me he just acquired the company but would have someone contact me shortly. Within 2 days a technician was out at my house! The job was completely efficiently and quickly. From the time it took to open and close the permit for the project was 1 week. It was a pretty extensive project involving a sub-panel and panel. I would definitely recommend them!"

"Andre was extremely easy to work with. We hired him to install an island range hood, and he knocked the job out in short order. He communicated with us throughout the whole process to ensure we were satisfied with the final result. Additionally, he also patched a bit of drywall, and was great about answering some questions we had about our ongoing kitchen project. Would definitely hire again in a heartbeat."

Within twenty minutes of my request online through Home Advisor website, I received a call from John at Service Electric. He was friendly and knowledgeable and they were able to come out very quickly and install the outlet. The electrician was nice and did a great job in a quick time frame! So experience was cost effective and very timely service. Thank you Service Electric NW! I will definitely use this company again if any other projects arise."

"They are extremely professional, reliable and efficient! I had a number of outlets that needed to be upgraded, additional outlets installed and light fixtures switched out. They did a very nice job. They are also very conscientious about cleaning up behind themselves and respect the homeownersâ vegetation and interior surroundings. I would highly recommend them and plan to hire them once again when the need arises. Plus they are a locally owned small business in St Helens and I prefer to support local businesses to help our economy. Their prices are fair and reasonable too."

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
