"Walter and his crew did something that a lot of contractors fail to do these days- he showed up ON TIME, on the date he scheduled me for (and finished on time as well!) and he kept me informed each day about the progress of my job (I was away from home part of the time). His communication during the job was excellent so there were no surprises. As it turned out my roof was in worse shape than I thought (a lot of the roof plywood was rotted and had to be removed and replaced) and Walter and his crew (5 men) worked tirelessly for 3 days getting my roof virtually back to new and also carefully resetting/resealing the many skylights I have on the roofs and lastly installing a completely new custom roof flashing and sealing around the chimney for my fireplace (which hadn't been redone in 35+ years) that failed/leaked terribly this summer from these many tropical storms- especially the deluge of rain from Tropical Storm Ida a couple weeks ago, at which point I was desperate to get this work finally done and Walter came out the next day after I called (on a Saturday) to give me an estimate and then on the following day (a Sunday no less) he came back and tarped the worst part of the roof since more rain was forecasted again in a couple days and he wouldn't be able to start my job until the following week since he was so backed up with work! All in all a great job done and a good experience with Gilrose Construction! Don't expect flashy trucks and fancy uniforms on the workers; what you can expect is an honest "family" company with a hard working crew that listens to your needs (unlike many contractors who are good at saying "NO", Walter usually says "YES" to your specific requests!) and to do a good job for a fair price :-)"

"I found Score Construction on Home Advisor's website. I was looking for a contractor and needless to say I read reviews for many of the construction firms. Every review I read was terrific for Score Construction and because of that I called, met Janusz Z who is the Owner and was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. I started with 2 bathrooms that were necessary to do because of water damage. I was thrilled with the work done, the care of how it was done by the workers that were both professional and respectful. A year later a major renovation for my apartment was considered and I called Score Construction. Not only did the renovation to my apartment turn out fabulous and I'm happy every day that I wake up and see how beautiful it is, but they also did major work to the outside of our building - replacing the cornice, roof repair, pointing of bricks, structurally reinforcing all 16 windows which was no easy task for a 100 year old building, but they got it done.
