A local business that is family owned, and they LOVE trees! Family history of arborists, their knowledge is supreme! They were patient with all of my questions, concerns, and lack of any expertise. They fully explained their estimate, and what the best course of action was for the trees on our property. The day of the work, they knew exactly what needed to be done. I wouldn't even have known they were there - respectful of our time, our property, and the wild critters we have! Our property was left even better than when they came. Being the perfectionist that I am, I immediately thought, no way, I want a straight bark. But then I thought, perhaps its the technician that selected the tree - perhaps he was thinking of off loading a tree with a slightly curved bark, and perhaps the client won’t mind. And I say that because a professional landscaper knows customers prefers a symmetrical straight bark. So I decided, instead of rejecting the sapling and sending it off to its potential demise, I decided to keep her and nourish her. Once she becomes a full grown beautiful tree, I’ll always reflect on the story of her arrival to her new home, and how I adopted and embraced her difference in having a curved bark. BTW, I named the tree Bendy 🙂 Therefore, reiterate to your landscaper a straight bark is preferred."
