"Jeff and his team did an amazing job for my home renovation. They rewired an entire floor, removing then installing all new outlets, wiring for mini-splits, televisions, fixtures, fire/co2 detectors and a new electrical panel. They installed three wall mounted televisions, numerous lighting and fan fixtures with ease. Josh was a beast, crawling around in the attic and getting our new bathroom vents in and making sure all the switches worked together. They put in some late hours to make sure the job was done right. I would highly recommend Jeff and his team for your electrical needs."

"Chris and Matt came in and installed two bathroom exhaust fans for me. They worked in tandem, one in each bathroom, and had the fans installed in 3.5 hours. Chris and Matt were also very patient as we had to work around some complications with the fans I had purchased as well as my old house. In the end, the job was completed well, on time, and at a very fair price, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing electrical work."

"Frank is awesome! Professional, on time, great work, and a great price. I got 3 different quotes from local electricians to upgrade my service to 200 amp. Not only did Frank have the best price, he was the only one with an itemized estimate, breaking down the materials, hourly rate and hours required. When he came by for a deposit I was worried Iâ d have to ask for a receipt, nope. He had one already printed out on company letter head ready to go. He arrived when he said he would, performed the work he promised, and communicated very well throughout the process. Another thing to add is his work is very detailed and neat. When the town inspector came by he commented how nice Frankâ s work was. Frank is an all around great electrician and a class act. Very hard to find a contractor like him these days, call Frank, you will not be disappointed."

"I called Lombard Electric and spoke directly to the owner. I had a very specific electrical wiring job and he was able to work me into his busy schedule. He kept me informed of the date and time he would be there making sure it also worked for my schedule. He showed up with his crew on time and ready to start. He oversaw the work and his crew was courteous, efficient and clean. I would 100% recommend them for any job. Excellent work for a fair price! Thanks Ernie!"

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesDerry Electricians are rated 4.7 out of 5 based on 1241 reviews of 1241 pros.
