            Date: 01/14/24
            Project Type: New structure
Building Type: Residential outbuilding (garage, etc)
Comment: A 24' x 40' pole barn building (built to Okaloosa County Code), one half fully enclosed with (8' 10' ?) side walls and a 4/12 pitch roof. Side wall frames shall be on 2” x 4” wood purloins attached to pressure treated wood posts. The roof frame shall be 2” x 4” wood purloins attached to roof trusses. The exterior roof and walls shall be (26 29(?)) gauge light grey painted metal. Building features from left to right on one side: One 8' wide bay with two 24" wide x 30" high single hung windows (with half screens) and windowsills 42” above the floor each equally spaced on the end and a 30” entry door on the side. One 10' wide bay with a (9’ x 7’ garage door 8’ roll-up door (?)) on the side. (These first two bays shall encompass an enclosed 18' x 24' room with a level concrete floor.) One bay 12' wide bay open on the side with a back wall and a level sand floor. One bay 10' wide open on the side with a back wall, side wall, and a level sand floor. All open bays and door bays will be on the same side. The site has an 18" slope from the doors and open bays side to the opposite side 24' away. This building site is an unincorporated area of Okaloosa County, Florida. There are some trees on the site that I will cut down and remove. For construction purposes, how much tree trunk clearance should there be from the new building? There are also some trees within the 10 foot set-back from the adjacent neighbor’s property line. Should I remove these trees also? I have a building site layout drawing, a sketch of the new building, and its location on the property plat map.
