"Old Dominion was outstanding to deal with very up front and professional. Estimate was very reasonable, showed up up on time, got right to work, very good job. Would highly recommend them. Everything was very well timed from the clean out pumper truck to the rock dust deliver, worked like clock work., Even the coordinating with the County Fire Marshall and completing all the permits, everything just rolled. They clean up very well really could not have asked for better service, great job. You hire them you will not be disappointed, outstanding contractor. "

Many homes in cold areas possess residential oil tanks. These tanks store the fuel used to power oil-based heating systems and can also store extra for devices like generators. The standard tank holds 275 gallons of fuel, while some larger models store over 400 gallons. Because of their size, installing or removing any kind of oil tank can be a difficult process.
Oil tanks need to be drained before removal, which means someone needs to siphon the fuel into a safe container. Afterwards, the tank needs to be uninstalled and then transported. Removal is challenging when the tank is stored underground or in some sort of basement. It may require excavation. Because of this, the job is best left to the pros who not only know how to remove the tank safely, but also where to take it to be disposed of or reused.
