"Paul responded even more quickly than expected since it was Holiday. The quote came quickly and was fair. Once on the roof, he professionally reviewed the entire area, and because of that he was able to notice another piece of flashing completely missing beyond the piece I called about. The additional piece he found missing was likely even more critical than the piece I was calling about since that other dormer had a skylight in it which mysteriously had started showing some water leakage around the frame the last year. Very possibly it was the extra missing piece he found. Also seems like he put full effort into more securely attaching the flashing pieces than had been done by prior contractor. Great Job !"

"Simply put, you will NOT find a better, more honest, more helpful, more easy-to-work-with, reasonably priced contractor than John Lee and his crew at J & K Home Improvement & Restoration! We had a "complicated" set of circumstances when our home was damaged by a storm, last winter. The insurance company sent out an estimator to assess the damage and, after the company recommended J & K Home Improvement & Restoration, I was introduced to John Lee. I eventually learned that John also does estimates for a variety of insurance companies (because his company is so well regarded), and he patiently listened as I described the nuances associated with our house. During our initial consultation, he was able to clearly describe all of the steps that would be necessary and answer all of our questions. Long story short, not only was John able to address EVERY single concern and request that we had regarding the eventual repairs to the house (including roof, siding, and a window upgrade that would have cost much more if we had done it at a later time), but he spent plenty of extra time making sure that everything we had talked about was addressed to our 100% satisfaction! He was also able to persuade the insurance company to cover more complete repairs than was originally specified by the first adjuster! In addition, when we had an electrical "hiccup" associated with all the pounding on the walls, John quickly sent an expert electrician to locate and correct the problem. He absolutely could have passed those charges on to us because the failure wasn't due to any mistake on the part of his crew but, instead, he picked up the unanticipated expense himself. It was truly a pleasure to work with John! He made a difficult situation as easy to manage as possible, and we would strongly recommend J & K Home Improvement & Restoration to anyone who wants to hire a quality contractor that stands behind their work and well-earned reputation!"

"Working with this company has been very refreshing given my previous experience with window companies. They take their motto “we’re craftsmen, not salesmen” very seriously which gives the customer confidence that they are being honest and truthful. They came out to quote me on a new circular skylight since the one in my condo is the original (built in 1980) and it has been leaking. They immediately suggested that I work with my HOA to patch the roof around the skylight since they suspected that to be the main issue. After an unsuccessful attempt to patch it, I called this company back to get a timeline for replacement. Since the weather took a turn, I waited an extra week but otherwise was accommodated. They arrived and stated that they would review what the HOA accomplished and attempt their own repair. They were insistent that a full replacement may still be necessary, but that they didn’t want to merely sell me a new skylight unless absolutely necessary. Their candor was appreciated. Their patchwork has held up well so far, but I am also confident enough in the service I have been given so far to leave a positive review. They have restored my faith in window companies! Will definitely do business again."
