Everyday he would check with me if I was happy and did I see anything missed or needing attention. In the AM we would do a walk around together. Good communicator and was an active listener. Always wanted to make sure I was good with the job etc.. He would have group meetings with his men to make sure everyone was on the same page with me present so I can hear what was being said. Also, there was not a job done that Robert had not already done in the past, so he knows how long something should take to complete.
