"Fantastic experience with JS Jackson! They did 2 projects for us - window replacement (6 windows for a townhouse) and cut and install new kitchen window. The leads on each project were very knowledgeable and great at explaining the process, answering questions, and advising on the best products for quality, budget, design, and function. The office staff is very responsive at handling scheduling, permits, invoices, etc. It’s been several months and the windows are clearly properly installed, well-sealed, no leakage, and outside framing looks flawless. "The sales process with Vinyl-Lite was the most laid-back, low-pressure, and friendly out of all the companies we vetted. Our sales rep, Matt, was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, reassuring, and honest. The down-to-earth, conservative approach, as if he were buying windows for his own home, was refreshing and welcomed! Other companies insisted that "all decision makers" had to be at home, despite the inconvenience to me and my wife. No overselling, no lies, just absolute expertise, and transparency. Plus, it's reassuring to know that we weren't dealing with a middleman company with substantial mark-ups. We love supporting local businesses! Scheduling the installation was a breeze, handled over a quick phone call, and incredibly flexible. On the day of installation, we had everything ready, with our blinds removed, pictures taken down, and areas around the windows cleared. The crew arrived on time and got straight to work! With sixteen windows to replace, they completed the job in about eight hours. The crew was friendly, showed respect for our home, and worked efficiently. Once all the windows were in place, they did a commendable job of cleaning up and removing debris. At the end of the day, Sam paid us a visit to ensure quality control, demonstrate how to use and clean our new windows, and address any remaining questions. Together, we identified a couple of small issues, and he worked with the crew to address them promptly. No hassle for us, which is the way I like it! And now, the windows themselves. We are pleased with the quality and construction, knowing that they are well-suited for Virginia's climate, built right here in Virginia. We're relieved that we didn't fall for any of the other companies' gimmicks promoting unnecessary features and upsells. Moreover, we can rest assured that with the company's long-standing history and heritage, if we ever need warranty assistance, they'll still be around to help. "We initially hired Clifton Contracting in 2018 for a major renovation of the interior of our home (new kitchen, one new and three renovated bathrooms), which included taking out walls and reworking the space. We were very pleased with the work and then hired the company's waterproofing division to install an outdoor drainage system and waterproof the basement. In 2019, the company built a porch and patio around the pool, which turned out beautifully. In 2021, Clifton Contracting completed a basement renovation, We keep coming back. The owner, Chris Sodergren, has great ideas and great taste. His crew is first-class -- very talented and friendly -- and I highly recommend the company. Great value for the money!"

"I requested an estimate from Fairfax Contractors online on 11/3. I received a call to schedule an appt almost immediately. I missed the call, but quickly received a text in addition to a voicemail. I called back and was able to send Glen a picture of the issue I had with my wrought iron fence. He was able to diagnose the problem and gave me an estimate right away. The estimate was $150 less than another company quoted me so, I definitely wanted to move ahead with the job! No surprise, they were booked 2-3 weeks out. I returned the signed contract and let Glen know that if there was any way we could get it done sooner, that would be great. Luckily, they had a job they were working on near my house and they were able to start after just one week of waiting (11/11). They require a deposit (1/3rd of cost) and it was very easy to get that done over the phone with Tony. Once the job was complete, Glen took a video of the fence and sent it to me. I live out of state, so I appreciated him showing me the final product that way. Overall, I had a great experience with Fairfax Contractors. Glen was very responsive on email, text and by phone. I’m having them look at another project and hope to use them again in the future."
