Write a ReviewOur replacement window project began almost a year ago. From companies that ghosted us to representitves that showed up smelling of the beer they had for breakfast this project seemed impossible to get off the ground. Everyone we spoke with had their own opinion on what we needed, from all new construction to all replacement to a combo of both. At about the time I was going to move on from this project I got a referral to Trident windows and doors. Troy and Peter came out together to assess our needs. The difference between them and everyone of the 10 other window companies that had out was noticeable immediately. We accepted their bid (6 windows, 3 doors) and waited for the windows to come in and installation to begin. The day they began started with the entire crew showing up on time and ready to go. They were polite and courteous and took care working around my house. This was a two day project, and after day one the job site was cleaner than it was when they arrived. When they say they clean the job site, they mean it! Day 2 went the same as day 1, with the job being completed exactly as described. We couldnâ t be happier with our new windows and doors, and the job done by Troy and his crew at Trident. The only problem is the new doors look so good we ended up ordering another one that we hadnâ t planned on replacing.
It’s a 6 new construction windows contract to finish in 2 days with 10% deposit and the balance due upon job completion. They started on 4/4/23 by cutting through stucco outside to pull out old windows. They damaged the walls and frames inside terribly. They were in a hurry to cement and stucco in the rain and waited no time to let in dry. They demonstrated one finished window in the bathroom. Only 1 and it turned out it’s a wrong window they ordered yet installed it anyway. The rest of the windows, they put the blinds back leaving them unpatched unsealed probably and broken walls. They asked for more money after day 1. I wrote him a check out of my good faith that he will finish his second day work as contract. I texted him the next day asking when he’s coming back to finish all the work. He said it took him 3 weeks to reorder a correct window. He may or may not finish the rest of the work. He doesn’t know!!! What should I do? Any advise?
Hi Holly. We cannot adequately express how disappointed we are that you were not happy with our window installation. Customer satisfaction is a top priority on every one of our projects. As you may recall, in our first meeting you mentioned to us that you had long term water leakage problems in your home. We said we would assess and report the potential damage when we began the actual window removal and installation. Upon starting window removal, we saw and brought to your attention the severe pre-existing water damage?so significant that simply removing the old windows caused some interior walls to crumble adjacent to the windows. To help remediate the appearance of damage, we applied casing to the interior walls around all your windows. This was done at no additional cost to you so the cost on your original contract remained unchanged. Because we knew that rain was forecast for day 2 of the installation, we sent a larger team to finish the job in one day. For the same reason we used quick setting stucco that sets up in hours rather than days. All windows were installed on day one and were sealed completely against the coming weather. Regarding your bathroom window, the window itself was correct (that is why we installed it), but the factory installed the wrong type of glass, as sometimes happens. That is why we kept the new window in place, but then returned to remove the erroneous glass pack and replace it with the correct one a few weeks later. Thank you for your patience waiting for the correct glass to arrive for your bathroom. We sincerely hope that you are feeling better about the project, now that all work is completed.
Troy, Peter and Elijah were great to work with!
Done
I give Trident Windows and Doors my highest recommendation. We replaced 41 windows in our older home with Anlin windows. This was a big and costly (but necessary) project for my wife and me. We solicited a number of quotes, but Troy and Peter from Trident were our first choice from the beginning. The main reason: their integrity. They are honest; they keep their promises; they communicate; and their price is fair. Our installation crew, Elijah, Alex and Troy made the 5-day process a joy....they are friendly, respectful and conscientious. Most importantly, the window installation far exceeded expectations! There was no damage to existing walls or stucco at all. None. The crew went to great lengths to take care of the tiniest details. The installed windows look terrific. We could not be happier with the results. We recommended Trident to our next door neighbors....they too appreciate Tridents service and integrity.
Excellent company. Met with Peter and Troy for the initial consultation. They were both professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They took the time to answer all my questions and made me feel at ease. I had previously met with 4 other companies. I went with Trident Windows and Doors because of their knowledge, trustworthiness, competitive prices, and excellent reviews. I was kept up to date every step of the way. I had 10 windows and a slider replaced as well as my front doors replaced. They are beautiful and what a difference they make in reducing noise, and regulating the temperature. I enjoy looking out my beautiful windows. During the installation, they were courteous, tidy as they cleaned up after themselves, and were able to install all windows and the slider in a single day. My front doors were installed a few weeks later in half a day as they had to also reinstall my security doors. A slight issue came up with my preexisting security doors and Peter went out of his way to fix it. You couldn’t ask for a better company to install your windows and doors.
Peter was very professional … was very happy with service….I have not had the windows installed yet
Among 4 different companies I called for consultation, they came across as the most trustworthy. Their pricing was a bit better with more windows options to choose from. The Trident team got work done on time, throughout, clean and neat. They were polite, patient and attentive to my asks. I went out of their way to help fix the rotten wood along the windows border with no extra labor cost. Wonderful people! God blessed! I highly recommend their business.
Work has not started
I would highly recommend Trident for your window project. I contacted 5 window installers and received bids from 3 of them. Both of Trident’s 2 owners came to my home to view my project and give me an estimate. One of the owners is the head installer for the company. If you know anything about replacing windows, the single most important component is the installer. Regardless of the quality of the window, if the installation is not done properly, you are going to have problems. Troy is a pro, he personally came out with his helper and installed 9 windows and 2 sliding glass doors. My home is on a busy street, so having quality windows that block the outside noise is very important to me. These new windows are a noticeable improvement, they open and close smoothly, and the installation was flawless. I couldn’t be happier and would recommend Trident to anyone without hesitation.
