They were awesome! Estimation was easy, the guys were here under an hour, and left no mess. I 'd give them 10 stars if I could!

Warning to Homeowners that have overhangs/cantilever in your crawl space or basement. Do not proceed with the IFoam spray foam without taking proper care of insulating these areas. IFoam encapsulated my crawl space (2 overhangs) and (1 overhang in basement. See email to Chris below. I did like the entire staff but every day now NO improvement to my home. Chris, I monitored for the last 6 days the outside temperature, inside temperature, thermostat (as you suggested) and created a comment category. The outside caulking, I believe helped slightly the upper floor possibly. I didn't see the value of monitoring when the house still remains cold, and I leave the temperature at 73 degrees. So, I'm one of your clients that will remain with 0 degrees energy savings. The value was the comments I wrote, and I will just summarize below all related to overhang areas. The kitchen pantry consistently between 45-50 degrees. The area just left of sink as your thermal camera showed stays at high 50's. There is a crack across the brick in front of the vent/glass of the fireplace. Consistent temperature stays at high 50s. The office bottom floor under the window temperatures is between 55-63 degrees. Your encapsulation in front of the overhangs now prevents me from the true method of taking care of the air from coming into the house. As I mentioned to you and your staff by putting bed sheet/rags (old technique but works) along with the insulation already in the kitchen overhang improved three areas by an average of 15 degrees. Now that excess air is still coming into the house but not into the encapsulated crawl space/some basement areas is going elsewhere into the house. I believe the areas above the overhangs and who knows where else are definitely affected. I will not recommend IFOAM so you should let Clark Brown know from the emailed I received. I initially was not going to respond on a rating for IFOAM but, after going through this writing process, I'm pissed again. I don't believe this job was done correctly having several overhangs. Any house owners that have overhangs need to be aware overhangs will not be done. I honestly would not have proceeded with this job until I got the overhangs done first. Now Chris, you are telling me about other companies that might handle the overhangs. Bad Business my personal opinion. I'm not complaining about your price. Your summary of installation of Foam is so general that this was allowed to happen. Even though Frank and team reviewed photos of the crawl space/basement (knew I had overhangs). I hope the company learns from customers like me that really care about making my Home Air-Tight and as you know I had an Energy Audit performed. Google searches below. Images did not show so here is the text. How do you insulate an overhang? Spray foam insulation is the perfect solution for cold floors in cantilevered overhangs. floors above garages, and floors over unheated or unconditioned spaces. By using spray polyurethane foam, you prevent any air movement that you would normally have in a fiberglass insulated floor. Should I insulate overhang? Insulation - Cantilever, foundation wall making it exposed underneath (overhang). If not insulated correctly, it can be the cause of high bills and cold/hot spots.

I wanted to wait until my first utility bill came to see if there was any savings. I noticed a big difference right away that first night in the upstairs bedroomâ s, warmer. . Just received my March utility bill, gas $77.00. Januaryâ s gas bill was 105.00, Februaryâ s $117,.With savings like these, the investment with â Foamâ has been worth it.

I've had 2 other companies come out and try to figure out why my bedroom (over the garage) was so cold. Chris and his head installer, Ben, came out and spent over an hour and found out why. Between them using an IR camera and Ben trying to figure out how to get into the ceiling (over that particular bedroom) they found a small access. The result was that there was no (none) insulation over 3/4 of the ceiling. The home builder didn't insulate it. I think that they just didn't see the small opening when they used blown in insulation. Ben had to scrape away some of the blown in stuff and found it. Thanks, Ben, for doing such an awesome job. iFoam came back and sprayed the ceiling of the one room and with their closed foam spray. It's Like a day and night difference. Highly recommend this company for your insulation needs.
