Backyard Gurus

We had an outstanding experience using Backyard Gurus to resurface our deck with composite decking and aluminum rails. They also rebuilt a somewhat complicated privacy screen framed with 4X4 s and filled with double layered lattice, which others refused to build. They are a relatively new company owned by two brothers who have a customer-first approach. They have a GC license and clearly have extensive experience building decks. They used quality materials from higher-end vendors avoiding the box stores and took pride in their workmanship. We were pleased with their excellent communication, kind demeanor, and patience with our difficulty in making decisions. David visited us several times providing design advice and answering all questions to ensure we got what was best for us. Once started, Tanner oversaw our crew. He was on-site at least half of the time. The three-man crew was skilled and very respectful of us and our property. There was no sitting around, music, or loud talk, just work. Whenever any type of potential choice came up, Tanner would check with us to make sure they were doing it how we wanted. He kept us posted on scheduling of all work and deliveries. The project started and ended on time. Everyone was readily available by phone, text, and email. We highly recommend them.

Our experience with backyard gurus was incredible! From the initial quote to the beginning of install all the way through to the finished product. We never thought it would be done so efficiently and so expertly. We got our deck completed in a few short days with every little piece of our rotting deck removed and a wonderful composite deck installed with aluminum rails which I would highly recommend. Overall the entire project was done beyond expectations! Highly recommended!! Working with Tanner Craft was a real pleasure.

Needed a deck built. Had a rep out and an estimate provided the same day. They provided images of their other work, which looked phenomenal. Extremely happy with the outcome. Good communication and flexible with scheduling.

They did a great job! Responded right away, and David was at our house the next day with all the information and options. He showed us the rendering of our future deck in 3D and provided info and blueprints for our HOA approval application. The materials were ordered and delivered in just a week and the job scheduled as soon as the team was available. There was a misunderstanding on our part about materials for the railing, but the guys (Ethan and David) accommodated that last minute change (thanks!) and reordered them in vinyl just as we asked. Also, a small part of the vinyl trim got damaged, but they replaced it the very next day - no questions asked. The team worked very hard. The demolition and installation took only 2 days! We now have a nice new deck - thank you so much! We highly recommend this company.

As evidenced by my 5 rating for customer service, I do believe that a company that is responsive to a client's needs is the company I want, hands down.. If there's a problem, no matter what the scale, I want to know that they will take care of it quickly in a friendly, professional manner. Backyard Gurus has demonstrated this asset admirably.

I’d give 6 stars if I could…. As an out-of-state owner of a rental property, it’s much harder to find quality, reputable contractors than local owners, but Backyard Gurus came through to finish a deck for me that another contractor had abandoned. Tenant (who is an electrical contractor) reports they did great work.
