We hired Mr. Wherren to complete a bathroom remodel. He was very thorough throughout the project keeping us informed every step of the way. He is very professional and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend for any renovations, home improvements, or projects.

Did an excellent job

I am disabled and could no longer use the shower or get into the bathroom with my walker. Other contractors told me what they would do which was not what I wanted. Donald listened to me and had me show him what I needed. I could not get through the door way that lead into the bathroom or closet and could not get into the shower without help. He widen the doorways and designed a perfect bathroom for me that was walker and wheelchair accessible. It is a perfect bathroom and I couldn't be happier. He is great!!

Donald is reliable, friendly, and EXTREMELY competent. We started with partial remodel that another contractor left us in a hard position with Donald transforming our kitchen into way more than we could have imagined! Thank you so much

When Don Wherren says his ultimate goal is to please his customer from beginning to end of the project, he means it. Don completed multiple renovation projects in our home. He converted the garage to a beautiful suite to include a full bath with glass enclosed shower, a six foot, granite topped vanity and private "water closet". He also created a large walk in closet and and custom, built-in book cases. Being a master carpenter, he installed custom, layered crown molding which blends the entire suite. We could not have asked for more! He also completely renovated our separate kitchen and dining room to an open concept by knocking out the separation wall and replacing it with granite topped island to house the new telescopic vented gas cooktop and wine cooler. Amazingly, he took the combination of several things we liked from pictures and built a "wrap around" countertop opposite the island to house the new double ovens, microwave, dishwasher, and sink and oversized refrigerator. Above the sink side of the room, Don built a bulkhead to house the recessed lighting creating a very updated look. All of this was accented by an eight layered crown molding he installed, one layer at a time.....all throughout the kitchen and dining area. He finished off by upgrading the hallway, visible from the kitchen/dining area, with new 6 panel doors and molding to compliment the renovated area. Now, when my huge family gathers here, we all enjoy the company of one another in one big..., open... nicely appointed space as opposed to being separated into small rooms throughout the living areas. Don took our ideas and turned them into reality with his skills I could not be more happy with the results. To top it off, Don still checks in from time to time just to make sure all is well. This family was not just fortunate enough to hire a great builder, we gained a good friend.

We have a older home, and Donald knew exactly what was needed to fix our carport issue! He even had a welder repair our antique wrought iron pillars when other contractors we'd consulted said they couldn't be fixed. We appreciate him so much!

Shout out to HomeAdvisor for helping me with this project. Don Wharren and his team were outstanding to work with. We had minor delays that were out of his control, but overall he was here every day he could be, and he kept constant communication with me throughout the entire process. I could not be happier with the final product and if I need any work done in the future I would definitely hire Wharren Builders Inc again.
