Write a ReviewWhen I hired Colton Huggard he seemed excited to get the job and anxious to start as soon as possible. He was to start the next day at 8am. I waited till noon and texted him only to find out his son was ill and he wouldn?t be coming. The next day he was a no show due to his own health. He was going to drop off his equipment later that day but changed his mind at the last minute and agreed to arrive at 7am the next morning. At 8:30 the next morning he said he was loading up to come over. Two hours later he texted to say he was on his way. We agreed over the phone that he would finish that day since he has kept we waited so long. He finally arrived 4hours late and began working. Toward the end of the day I returned home to find very sloppy work with pain on the bricks, windows, grass and sidewalks. He seemed to blame me for rushing him. He was cleaning up in such a hostile way I just paid him and told him not to return to finish the job. He left the yard messy and unsafe.
Horrible doesnâ t quite cover how bad my experience with Colton Huggard has been. Conned me out of $7500 for a fence install that was done horribly wrong. Assured me the job was easy to do and not a problem. Paid half the money upon signing contract with him. He then proceeded to go more than 3 weeks before starting job saying the fence panels were back ordered or some crazy excuse. When the panels showed up they are hollow aluminum. Not steel and definitely not solid. He did the job in 2 days. 2 days after he was done it rained and the dirt work and sod he laid washed all away. His response a day later after I told him about it was â crap happensâ . He offered to fix it but I would need to pay more money to him. Upon further inspection of the fence many screws are missing or not secured. The metal fencing bars on five of the panels are bent probably because they are cheap aluminum fencing panels. He will ignore my texts for a few days before sobering up to contact me back saying he will fix it. We have set two different times and days for him to come by and meet with me to which he has canceled and no showed. He cut corners on every aspect of this project. He is the most unprofessional contractor Iâ ve ever worked with and I own 6 properties and dealt with many others in the past. Unfortunately it looks like a lawsuit will be the only thing I can do to try and get a resolution to the piss poor job he did. I have documentation and videos and pics of all the horrible work he performed. He will scam you out of your money and deliver very underwhelming results with no intent to fix or try and provide a nice and quality product and service. DO NOT HIRE HIM IF YOU WANT THE JOB DONE RIGHT.
Mr. Huggard underestimated the job and about halfway through he ran out of funds to continue. I should have simply held him to the contract, but I felt sorry for him and gifted him some money to help him complete the job. I even let him use my flatbed to help him save money. He wanted to buy the flatbed, and I offered to let him have it instead of the extra money I gave him. Later, he demanded the extra money plus the flatbed. I guess he thought the original contract was no longer in effect and my gifts replaced it. Still trying to be a good guy, I gave him a check for more than the original contract, but he demanded the flatbed also. When I refused, he became belligerent and threatened to come to my property and take it. I had to call the sheriff. Later he said he was going to sue. He did a decent job, but my advice is to not do him any favors.
This guy knows I have a verbal agreement recording of him. He continues to attack my small business. He?s trying to deter my customers. Bitter old man who is a their. I do appreciate his consistency and reviews because they all matter to my company!
I had a shipping container delivered to my house. Before hand he helped get some ground prepped. Once delivered he helped put it in position and level it out. He also the guy knows his stuff and can get it done. I was impressed with his response time and professionalism. I will hire him to do some upgrades on my container to make it a workshop. More to come!
does an excellent job every time
Colton HUGGARD was prompt and courteous and did a fantastic job installing a new wooden privacy fence. He finished the job promptly despite an unexpected storm.
Colton was great he did a super job made sure it was done the way I wanted it done. very professional time conscious and cleaned up after he was finished . I will definitely hire him again.
The professionalism and efficiency this man displayed for me was above and beyond. The guy will work after hours and just wants to get the work done right. Colton is the guy you hire when youâ ve had enough of everyone else and want things to get done.
