I met with six landscapers to explore a multi-step project that included a new extension to an existing, 26-year-old deck along with new trees for screening and an area of synthetic turf for a dog run. Rob Walsh made my selection process easy because he was far and away the most knowledgeable and creative person I met. Rob was a wonderful collaborator to work with; he listened to what I had in mind and patiently answered my questions and offered insight and ideas that ultimately delivered a finished product beyond my expectations. Rob and his awesome partner Damon were great to have onsite every day. They performed top-notch quality work with care and attention to detail and consistently left a clean and functional workplace throughout the process. Rob is a master problem solver too and he met every challenge the project presented with ingenuity and skill. When anchoring the deck and planting trees turned up strange things with the antiquated irrigation system, Rob traced the issues to their source and fixed them. Rob communicated clearly with me throughout every phase of the project and was always available by phone, text, and email. The best thing I can say about the whole experience is that I trust Rob completely and believe in his integrity, skill, and professionalism so thoroughly that I'm already looking forward to having him back at my house soon to continue the next set of projects.

We live in a 1920s bungalow and hired Rob to update the plants in our front yard. He designed and installed the space around our porch, replacing a couple of old and unhealthy rhodies with an assortment of native plants that set off the front of our home. Rob selected plants that bloom at different times of the year, so there is always something colorful in our yard. We also have two old lilac bushes planted against the side of our house that we love, but that have a tendency to droop and fall over. Rob designed and built a wooden structure to hold the lilacs in place that fits perfectly with the style of our home. Rob also replaced a small strip of grass next to our driveway with pavers, so we no longer get our shoes muddy and wet in the winter. Rob is talented and hard working, extremely reliable, and a pleasure to work with. I have recommended him to friends and neighbors, and all of them have been pleased with his work too.

Rob first started working for us in 2010 & has completed many projects. He is a true artist and craftsperson and the hardest worker I've ever seen! He communicates well with clients and is very receptive to incorporating your ideas into his wonderful designs. He can do anything, stonework, brickwork, build pergolas, create fountains and water features and has a wonderful eye for plants. You can't go wrong with Rob!

From the design process through the final walk through, Rob was extremely attentive to details and overall thoroughness. He is highly skilled at many elements of landscape design and completed a full backyard remodel for us, including pavers, decks, irrigation, flagstone paths, fencing and plantings. Two years later and everything looks beautiful. We have an extremely tricky backyard space due to our elevation and I don't think I could have found anyone else equipped to handle the challenges of this particular job. Highly recommended.

We hired Rob to both design and install a low maintenance front yard to replace all our grass. We had a few ideas that we shared with him: we wanted year-round color, mostly native plants, low maintenance, and incorporation of existing raised vegetable beds to name a few of our criterion. We could tell based on our discussions and his ideas, that we would be better off leaving the creative design totally up to him. While he certainly accomplished the things we wanted, he also came up with a design that is so much better than anything we would have come up with. We continue to love our yard and get compliments from so many people. We've had people stop to ask us questions and ask who designed it- we've even had people stop their cars to get out and ask us about it. Equally as important as how much we love the way our yard looks and feels, is the experience we had with Rob personally. it was such a pleasure working with Rob. He is passionate about what he does, has a great eye for design and does what he says he will. He's honest and dependable and we plan to work with him again on re-doing our back yard in the near future. Obviously we recommend him highly!
