Write a ReviewPersistent in troubleshooting the aluminum wiring in our older home, with a good solution. Nice work!
The electrical repairman was very knowledgeable and identified my electrical problem immediately!!
I hired this company through Home Advisor because the power to my garage was out. They sent a technician out to assess the problem. They charged me $475 for a 15-minute job!! That is excessive! I understand they deserve to be compensated for their work but they did not perform almost $500 worth of labor or parts. There was a bad wire behind my breaker box that he replaced. So my rating is based on a very high charge for a small amount of work. Even if they charged me to come out and replace the wire, that DOES NOT AMOUNT TO $500. I am extremely disappointed with this company and their greed!
It was very economical and quickly scheduled. I actually had to help the electrician understand some of the mechanical aspects of the job, but the project was installed successfully!!

Very prompt response! Professional and very helpful! Already asked them to do some additional work/repairs for me!
The installation specialist switched out a 4+prong dryer outlet for a 3+prong one with professional, courtesy, and knowledge and he did it in a timely manner for a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this company.
Once I discovered Varela American Electric Inc. informed them that I needed my breaker box replaced and to be able to plug my generator into my new breaker box. They sent me a price to do it and it was a great price. We set a date and I could not wait. Once the technician( who looked of Spanish descent) arrived I noted he had an interpreter with him. I did not care along as the box was completed. As he worked on my box I remembered that my doorbell was faulty and asked if he could look at it, I even called the office and told them about my doorbell problem and they were ok with the tech looking into it. Once the work was done I noted there was no way to plug my generator into the box. The office said that my box is now big enough to plug a generator into it once additional parts are installed at additional cost. I vented my frustration about the miscommunication (never getting upset) and I noted the office manager via phone raising her voice to me. I calmed her down and reminded her I was not upset and asked why was I being responded to with such ire. She said she thought I was upset and was given to me what she thought I was giving to her. She then offered to send a tech out on the next day and bring the additional pieces at a discounted price and the tech that did the work said he would return on the next day to finish the job and look at my doorbell. I was ok with that. The next morning a different technician shows up to install my needed pieces but he speaks no English. He installs an additional box to plug my generator into and I note the additional box has 4 prongs and the cord he brought to connect to the generator has 4 prongs but the generator has a 3 prong receiver. As I try to tell the tech he does not understand until I use an English to Spanish translator on my phone. He then calls his office and they tell me he must go to the home depot to get parts to make the 4 prong cord work to a 3 prong generator. Once he finishes all of his work we plug the generator into the breaker box to test it we discovered that the generator was not powering the house as inspected. lights were flickering and after several attempts, I am told from the office that. They have made my breaker box compatible for A generator (not my generator) that my generator was too small and I needed a larger generator. I knew my generator could run 2 rooms that is all I needed in the event of a blackout. (just run the refrigerator and tv system) and then this lady on the phone voice started to rise at me. She says she will send a journeyman out to look at the work performed. Once he arrives( with an interpreter) it becomes apparent that the 2nd tech wiring of the cord from 4 prongs to 3 was wrong. He fixes that problem and all is well.  Now when the office calls for payment I point out lady #2 was a bit rude towards me and instead of just apologizing she says she was only saying what she said based on the 2nd tech report to her But what about customer satisfaction? Do not get me wrong I appreciate the discounted prices and sending out the journeyman, but a customer and I should not be made to feel inept. Anyway, we move on to payment and I paid the bill in full, but it took 3 emails and 2 calls over 3 days to the office to get my receipts for the work done Even though I never got my doorbell looked into/fixed. The above is all true..the end result was I got what I wanted, (except for my doorbell) so you decide. Maybe they will read this and address the office issues.
Courteous and respectful
The company was prompt and professional.
