TLDR: This was without a doubt the BEST moving experience I have ever had. Christian, Rudy, and Sherkhan are phenomenal! They went above and beyond, handled our stuff with so much care, and even took care of us when our apartment management was incompetent and made the move very stressful. My sister in law had used Vanguard previously when they moved. They packed and moved everything to storage and then at a later date from storage to their house. It was all super smooth so we decided to go with Vanguard for our move. Jennifer helped get us a quote and was polite, easy to work with, and did a great job explaining every charge that was on the quote. There were NO hidden charges whatsoever. We knew everything we were paying for and it was priced fairly. Christian and Sherkhan helped us pack up our apartment. They were on time and professional. Once we got to the new place, the freight elevator wasn't working and the storage unit we had booked was not cleared out. Management had said take it or leave it but Christian and Sherkhan were beyond helpful in figuring out what to do next. They really did not have to but truly made that awful situation so much better for us. Rudy and Sherkhan helped us unload all of our stuff at a later date. We definitely had to do some jenga to fit everything into the storage unit but they did a fantastic job of getting that done while still handling everything with care. The efficiency was amzing, everything was unloaded and set up within 2 hours. In total we have had 4 moves with Vanguard and every experience has been awesome. We will absolutely be calling Vanguard again for our next move. If you need a move in the DMV area, you cannot go wrong with Vanguard.

Amazing service!! I was quoted for a move and the estimate was spot on for the amount of time and manpower needed. Very professional in wrapping all the items and communicating with us with how much space is left in the van. The movers kept good pace throughout the whole process, no unnecessary delays. I highly recommend them and will definitely be back if I have the need to move again.

The staff Is very friendly and proficient; the firm itself is very organised and fair in pricing. They took care of my furniture with lots of care as it was theirs. I would highly recommend this company! I was impressed with their care of our furniture, and were so careful with everything. They made sure everything was placed in the correct room and in the correct place. Very happy with their service!

I booked last minute and they were very professional, accommodating and worked with me to make sure we accomplished the move at the time and date I needed. The movers were also very professional yet personable

From customer service to actual movers this company was a cooperative partner and professional.

DO NOT HIRE THEM!!! They will take their sweet time, moving as slowly as possible to charge as much as possible. They will damage all of your furniture and destroy your wood floors. And they will refuse to remove items from their truck until you pay them. Absolute WORST experience ever. Do yourself a favor and do not hire this company.

When you call they give you a low quote so you will hire them. They do not tell you about moving insurance when you book the move. When the movers come they tell you that you have to take their insurance. The sales person told the moving crew that we had 562 sq. Feet condo and a pickup from another location. It took 14 hrs. to move our 760 sq ft condo and 10 × 15 storage unit.

This company is great. I cannot say enough good things about them. They were extremely helpful throughout the process. They were on time, professional and went the extra mile. I would highly recommend them.

Reggie and his team were fantastic. It was our first time moving an entire house (had just done apartments or rented rooms before) and through COVID we had collected a lot of things. We also have a newborn, to add to the complication/stress. But Noreen was incredibly helpful in getting us set up, and Reggie and his team worked efficiently and carefully to get the job done. They brought the right size truck for a city move with our size house, the right team to get it done in a day, and they were fair in their pricing. I would definitely recommend them!
