You don't need to hear our story. You've read about the stress, the pleading, the begging, the anger, the liens, and the lawsuits before. It's the same as thousands of others who have been burned by contractors who took their client's money without fulfilling their commitments. We can only warn you about this one. Brad's 4 month commitment stretched out for 15 months, when we terminated the contract in writing for non-performance. There was no problem with the quality of the work that was actually done, but by then, we were in the midst of threats and liens being filed by his subcontractors who had not been paid. Despite his repeated promises to us and to them to pay for work that we had already paid him for, Brad Trice disappeared. We were sued by one of his biggest creditors for work we had paid Brad for several months before. Two weeks later, he mailed us his final invoice, which included many other "extra" items that were specified in our original contract that had also already been paid for. Do we continue to give him money, when we know he hasn't paid others for invoices now months overdue-for items he billed us for, and we paid him for months ago? We wrote, asking that he settle the lawsuit, then we would gladly negotiate his final payment. No response. We settled the lawsuit ourselves, and paid off all other subs before they filed liens against him (and us). Sent another letter, itemizing how much he now owed us. Months later, we continue to pay subcontractors who were never paid, to keep our name clear. Unfortunately, by clearing our name, we also clear his. Yes, he should be sued, or worse. But what's the point of throwing a few more thousand dollars away to lawyers? We can prove everything, and would certainly win in court, but would we ever recover a dime? Of course not. We all know how the system works. So does Brad. He will have to live with how he treated us, but you should all know. Please don't make the same mistake we did.
Response from Company:
The only thing that is 100% accurate in this statement is "There was no problem with the quality of the work" and the rest really doesn't even deserve a rebuttal due to the entirety of the situation. As you will notice, we have five stars from everyone except this customer.

Brad is very professional and hard working. The french doors we bought was a bit smaller than the original opening, and Brad found way to resolve this issue and the installation went without a hitch. We are very pleased with his work and will definitely recommend his service.

Brad took on my 100 year old guest house over the past few weeks. It was a large project, and quite a head scratcher. He came up with numerous creative solutions and took the house from a near tear down to sturdy structure ready for drywall. He reframed nearly the entire house and vaulted the ceilings. Brad was a pleasure to work with, and always communicated with me as to his schedule, costs, and extent of the job. I already plan on hiring Brad again for future jobs. Excellent work!

Brad repaired a termite damaged top plate of a load bearing wall frame in one of my bedrooms. Brad was courteous and very professional with his work. Brad performed a thorough inspection of the termite damaged top plate and explained in detail what he would be doing to repair the damage. He offered a competitive estimate on what it would cost to do the repair. He successfully completed the repair in a timely manner. I highly recommend Trice Construction for any wall frame repair type job.

Brad does great work and pays close attention to detail. He repaired my house as if he was working on his own house. He also did a great job of cleaning up the area after completion. I couldn't be happier with his work!
