Reviews
Write a ReviewI have just finished a full kitchen remodel on my century home. TMG under the supervision of Joey Mannarino had to remove 3 supporting walls even before the kitchen remodel could begin. All the trades were very accommodating and made sure everything was cleaned up each day. Joey was on the job daily making sure it ran smoothly. We were able to mesh the old with the new seamlessly. The entire job was done on time and within budget. I love the end result and couldnâ t be more satisfied. I look forward to having Joey and his crew on a new project soon.
Project is not complete yet - I will do a rating when the job is done
Joey, Ray, Dave, and Charla made the process extremely comfortable. They helped in all areas with respect to design, color, and execution. They made us feel like a part of the family, and they were always there to answer our questions. I am completely satisfied. Congratulations to them to a job well done.
Let me start off by saying that this review is based on my experience only and may not reflect on the company as a whole. What experience I had may not be the same for someone else. It is of my opinion based on my personal experience in conducting business with them involving over $100,000+ of my own money, that Transitions by Firenza (TBF) and their Vice President Joseph (Joey) Mannarino (public information link: https://www5.sos.state.oh.us/ords/f?p=100:2:::NO:RP::) engaged in questionable business practices against me that may be protected under the Consumer Protection Laws of Ohio. As a consumer, I cannot recommend their services and should have done due diligence before going under contract with them to remodel my home. I should've read BBB complaints (which can be found here: https://www.bbb.org/cleveland/business-reviews/countertops/firenza-stone-inc-in-willoughby-oh-16006598/reviews-and-complaints?section=complaints) and the complaint-reviews (which can be found under the Firenza Stone Google Business Review page online. I should've also checked Lake County Court Records for court record history (which can be done here publicly online: http://phoenix.lakecountyohio.gov/eservices/home.page.2) and the Cuyahoga County Court Records (which can be done here publicly online: https://cpdocket.cp.cuyahogacounty.us/ ) and the Summit County Court Records (which can be done here publicly online: https://clerkweb.summitoh.net/PublicSite/SearchByName.aspx). Brief Summary: I found them on Home Advisor and met with Joey Mannarino at my home to discuss the remodel of my home. We agreed on a $130,000 remodel budget including his $15,000 project management fee. I asked for a contract, he told me they normally don't do contracts and sent me an invoice instead. I hired an attorney to draft up a proper remodel construction contract with a $130,000 max limit, and the time schedule we agreed to. I paid those legal fees out-of-my-own-pocket to protect myself. At the advisement of legal counsel, I also hired an Owner's Representative to supervise Joey who was to supervise my remodel, since I lived out of state at the time. Paying someone to supervise a remodel, and then paying someone else to supervise that person to supervise the remodel, sounds a bit much right? In the end, I felt very thankful I followed my instincts. By the time I fired TBF / Joey, the project was only 75% completed, the deadline way past due, and the costs were enormously high at ~$155,000 (suppose to be 100% completion at $130,000). They ignored my emails to get my approval for costs going beyond the contract max, kept doing work, and billing me outrageous rates. Their invoices never broke down labor hour/rate, but was a summary of charges for the week. He made so many mistakes including designing my cabinetry without my approval! His methods in collecting payment: First, he tried to collect more money than was billed. I had to remind his bookkeeper that I only pay for wo
We are very sorry a customer feels this way. We do everything we can for customers to have a positive experience. We have reached out to this customer to rectify any concerns they may have.
Joey, Ray and their entire team are absolutely the best. If you are looking to do any kind of a remodel in NE Ohio, you owe it to yourself to reach out to them . From the initial design to doing the actual work, they are the most professional and helpful. If you are looking for a WOW design and great workmanship, these folks are amazing. We are so impressed with how our kitchen came out that we are going to use them again for redoing our master bathroom as well as adding on another bathroom to our home.
They always arrived on time and made sure I didn't over spend. That's refreshing.
We desperately needed the main bathroom in our home upgraded but had no idea what or how to do it. Contacted Transitions and arranged for Joey and Ray to come look at it. Loved their ideas, went to the showroom to pick out the cabinet style, countertop, etc then left the rest to them. The professionalism, courtesy and good humor of everyone from the showroom to the contractors who came and did the work was superior and made the experience less stressful. Sharla was always available to answer questions. The quality of the workmanship was also extraordinary! Dan and his crew of very talented craftsmen made this project a joy. I absolutely love my new bathroom and have been recommending Transitions by Firenza to friends and family. They are a top-notch group!
We hired this firm for complete kitchen and laundry room renovations as well as installation of hardwood floors throughout most of the main floor. Designer was extremely helpful in incorprorating our wish list into a cohesive, practical and aesthetically pleasing design. Joe Mannarino did a great job managing the project and keeping things moving forward. We love the quality of the materials used, found most of the subs to provide superb service, and think the final result is stunning. The project also came in extremely close to budget.
Great group to work with, with skills and humor. Can't wait for the beautifully designed kitchen and laundry room to be complete.
