We just completed our basement project. We were told it would take 6-8 weeks and we just hit 7.5 weeks. The coordination of each step of the process was fantastic. The only downside is the workers came 1 time per week each of the 7 weeks. I think maybe one week more than 1 crew came, but each stage was done 1 day out of the week once a week (ex: Tuesday the framers came, the following week: Friday the electrician came, the following week: Wednesday the sheet rock guys came, etc.). It would have gone much quicker if each stage was back to back days, but again we were told 6-8 weeks from day one and thatâ s what we got. Gail (who is the point of contact for coordination and payments) was fantastic to work with. Very responsive and helpful. Every team except the spackle team was super clean and picked up after themselves. Paint team was fantastic! The final product is exactly what we were looking for. We definitely recommend Basic Basements!

Basic Basements best builder in NJ!! Basic Basements did an outstanding job on our finish basement project. From our very first consultation to the day they completed the work they provided outstanding services. our salesman was a technical engineer and provided us with a very complete and thorough detailed estimate that includes the entire project We had gotten 2 competitive quotes from other vendor but they did not compare nor did they have the experience that Basic Basement had. The quote they gave us was extremely competitive - in fact it was so good we added another bathroom to our project and were still in budget. After selecting Basic Basements we had a detailed project plan scheduled. The project management was outstanding. Basic Basement had outstanding project management, every stage of the project was executed flawlessly. Day one was framing and insulation, Day 2 was sheet rock followed by installation of all of our custom lighting, plumbing was next and then tile. They even took care of dealing with all of the building inspections and permits as this is part of their process. Throughout the entire project Gail the office manager and Kevin our project manager kept up completely informed. The project manager visited everyday. The technicians that work for Basic Basements - the framers, carpenters, sheet-rockers, plumbers, electricians are all very experienced and are extremely hard working. They always showed up on time, respected our home, were so neat and worked very hard, The quality of their work was exceptional. We had been enjoying our finished basement for 4 years until one day we came home and had a flood in our basements. Ruining the beautiful basement that Basic Basements had created. We were devastated. We took a chance and called them to see if they would repair our basement - even though this is not part of their normal service. We were so grateful when they agreed and came out to assess our damage with in days and we had a quote and a repair crew at our house - reinstalling sheet rock, modeling returning it back to its original state. It is hard enough to find one great vendor and have one great experience - to have 1 great vendor and 2 great experiences speak volumes to Basic Basements commitment to excellence and quality as they truly care about their customers. Our since thanks and gratitude to the entire Basic Basement company and their staff.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! I had them remodel my basement. They punctured my water proofing system by using nails vs. liquid nails which resulted in mold growing in our basement (health concerns) and now will not take ANY accountability. The water proofers stepped up and fixed the issue right away for us because they were concerned for our health but Basic Basements could care less!!!! I've only requested Basic Basements to replace the moldy molding, a hole in the wall, and pay the balance for the work the water proofers did. As it is, the water proofers absorbed half of that cost so the out of pocket is only $1295.00 and Basic Basements has refused to help. They are requesting documentation that is going to cost me more $$ out of pocket before they even agree to assist. We are the innocent victims in all this. We spent over $38k (all our savings) to have our basement water proofed and finished and instead of enjoying new construction that we paid for we now have a moldy mess and outstanding debt to correct their mistake! I've reported them to the news and better business bureau and will continue to report them because I want other hard working consumers to know to avoid this company at all costs. We trusted in them, they were referred to us and they have done nothing to make this awful situation right!!! They out right refused. Don't make the same mistake we did! Just because they are licensed and insured doesn't mean they are a stand up company that cares about their customers.

Every part of my experience with these professionals was outstanding. Their craftsmanship was superb, the attention to detail was gratifying and they were a pleasure to deal with. If you have any type of decorative molding project, do not think twice about hiring them. Strongly recommended.

The Basic Basement Company was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Their design addressed exactly what I wanted - an all-purpose room complete with new windows, lights and storage & there was no pressure to sign with them. Gail is an excellent project manager. She kept me posted on the schedule & responded to all my calls/emails promptly. All the workers were professional, courteous and always on time. The project was completed within the set scheduled time and estimate. I love the finished product & would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to redo their basement.
