Whether it is freezing cold outside and your furnace, boiler, or heat pump went out; or it is HOT outside and you need a new central air unit installed, repaired, or serviced, we will be there. We have been in business since 2003, are licensed & insured, & are backed by over 85 years of experience. We are women owned and operated. We offer financing & 24 hour emergency service. Additionally, we offer comprehensive Maintenance Agreements to keep your equipment running smoothly & at it's potential, duct and dryer vent cleaning and sanitizing. We offer financing for repair and replacement of equipment or components. We design systems for comfort and efficiency. How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because The challenges associated with the complexities of the HVAC field. One has to have a thorough understanding of thermodynamics, psychromettrics, air flow design, and electricity.. Great diagnostic skills are needed. I attended Tidewater Community College's HVACR program in 1997 and 1998. I taught HVAC there part time as well. Evolving technology and industry wide changes require one to participate in ongoing education to stay current and at the top of their game. I hold Masters Licenses in both HVAC and Gas Fitting. We follow best industry practices set out by the industry authority; ACCA. This field is technically demanding, both myself and our field staff enjoy working on and with the technology. .

Sweetlands was wonderful to work with. They promptly scheduled an appointment to come out and take over my maintenance contract for my air conditioning, heating, and on-demand gas water heater. They were thorough in their assessment and recommendations as well as identifying a couple of potential issues that needed to be addressed to head-off future problems. I would definitely recommend them and have selected them as my ongoing maintenance contractor.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the state in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Businesses will not be admitted to the network if their owners or principals have the following felonies in their available criminal records*:

Arson

Assault/domestic violence/battery

Child abuse

Intimidation/terrorist threats

Kidnapping/abduction

Lewd and lascivious behavior

Manslaughter/murder/homicide/vehicular homicide

Rape/incest

Robbery/carjacking

Sex offenses

Other felonies not listed above that occurred in the past seven years

Contracting without a license in the past seven years

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened biennially.

How is COVID-19 impacting the HomeAdvisor background check program?

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, several government agencies and courts across the country have temporarily closed their offices. While HomeAdvisor will continue its background check program to the extent possible, these closures could prevent some background checks from being performed. Please be advised that, during this period, if we could not perform a background check, HomeAdvisor will allow the business into the network and match the business to consumers. Licensing

We verify any applicable state-level licenses, and we require every business to attest that they carry the appropriate local licensing to practice their trade. Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
