We hired Stoudt Cabinetry to complete built-ins and cabinets throughout our home in September 2024. The promised completion date was November 1, 2024. Stoudt had only done a small percentage of the work by November 1 and, having received $70,000 from us as a deposit, demanded $20,000 more in order to proceed. We compromised at $12,000, bringing the total amount we?d paid to $82,000, and also took several projects off of his plate in an effort to make the job more accessible to him as he was so far behind. After that payment, we did not see him for 5 weeks. We had a meeting with him and a ?mediator? which turned out to be his family member and this resulted in 2 more weeks of work at our home that ended on December 21st, 2024. There were quality control and installation issues that we brought to his attention, but he refused to address or even come see (his employees did the actual work). At this point, he had not completed a single room ? everything was just parts and pieces.Â

Thanks for your review. Unfortunately, the complaint is not valid as we offered the homeowner and Designer the opportunity for us to complete the installation or they could have another installer pick up the parts and finish the installation. Per contract with the designer, we required a payment for the parts, which she defaulted on. We have had the rest of the cabinet parts at our shop for approximately three (3) months. Further, we always do a final walk through and punch list at the end of the project to correct any issues. The customer, by virtue of not paying the required payment, did not allow us to complete the final installation and complete the final walk through to address any issues. As we previously advised the customer, we would have been glad to give the homeowner the rest of the parts - we just needed a payment. The payment we are asking for is only for cabinetry that had already been installed and the finished parts which we have at our shop. We are not asking payment for any work that has not been completed. Thanks Jim

We initially hired Stoudt to replace old countertops then had them replace the cabinets as well. Jim was easy to work with and made so many great suggestions for the cabinets and countertop. We are so happy with every inch of the kitchen.

Jim did an amazing job on our new kitchen, bathroom and laundry room cabinets. His work is exceptional. He provides great suggestions on what works for you and your home. His cabinets were above and beyond what we expected. Our new custom cabinets are some of the most beautiful work I have seen. He was great to work with and I would highly suggest him!
