Write a ReviewPLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING MONTHLY MAINTENANCE. We were long-time customers of Scottsdale Air--years of loyalty and trust. Last year, we decided to sign up for their monthly maintenance service, thinking it would help prolong the life of our AC units and save us time to think about it. Unfortunately, that decision was detrimental to our system's health and finances. At the end of the year, they told us we needed two brand new units--a shocking $40,000 expense. Given the cost, we decided to get second and third opinions. That's when everything unraveled. Despite three service visits that year, the other companies found thick layers of dust in our attic that had clearly been accumulating for months--dust that was causing our AC to work 25% harder for every millimeter of dust. Why wasn't this cleaned during any of their visits? They did go up in the attic every time, it seems it was for nothing. Even more disturbing: The air filters that Scottsdale Air said had been "cleaning
We have used Scottsdale Air in the past. Now I remember why I haven't used them for a long time. First, the installers were very good...pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. No problem. Second, the salesman was ok , but we had to badger the contact the company to fullfill his promises. Third, the office personnel are clueless and the most incompetent group we have ever encountered. We paid 1/2 down to start the job and 1/2 balance to the installers upon completion. We received 2 invoices, both incomplete and one entirely wrong and obviously not ours. The first was for less than 1/2 the price we paid. When we contacted the company the person claimed to be accounting manager told us he was sorry about the error. He proptly refunded us over $6000. When we contacted him again he told us he did not know what the money was for or where it belonged. We finally convinced him to take the money back as it was not ours. We were then invoiced again for the correct amount with no description of the units purchased for warranty purposes and the dates of payment and installation were wrong. SD Air refused to correct them. They told us their machine would not change it. It appears AI has taken over at SD Air. We finally had to register the units ourselves for warranty because Scottsdale Air did not do it as they promised. We were told we were entitled to an Arizona rebate of $200. "Just fill the forms and return them to SD Air" We had to beg for the forms which arrived a month late. The form indicates it must be filed within 30 days of install. Our loss. We had talked to several people on the phone claiming to be managers who could not understand anything as if we spoke a foreign language and had to give up on them. We have attempted to contact management at SD Air numerous times by phone and email. They are on the phone, out of the office, never heard of them, never worked there, no longer employed there or dead. Those that answer or call back claim to be a manager of something. They still do not understand their own invoices and are clueless as to why we need a correct invoice indicating correct dates, correct amounts and definitive identification of what we purchased in case we have a warranty problem down the road and need correct information for proof of purchase and dates and Scottsdale Air is long gone. HELP!! Save us from incompetence... use another company.
Gus gave me a very competitive proposal. Albert and Josh were excellent installers. The Green sky financing was super easy. Am very happy with a solid Trane system.
