The technician, Mark, came to the house quickly. After he diagnosed the issue, he gave me a quote of $400.00 over the phone (this is my vacation home). He stressed to me that he does not work by hours but by project. He explained that the ice maker was frozen and other stuff that I did not understand. We were not there so we did not know how bad the situation was and we did not want our guest have no ice in the freezer, so we agreed to the price. The technician was there only for 20 minutes and finished the job. He called me to pay by check or cash. I told him that it was a simple fix, why he charge to high. After negotiating, he agreed to $250.00 for his work. I did not like the way he charge for fixing my fridge because he knew it was a simple fix and still quote us at $400.00. He emptied out the ice maker, defrosted the ice maker and reset the temperature. He did come back to check to make sure the ice maker is I think this is not honest at all.
