Repair a Garage Door Spring

Professional, expedient, exceptional valued service. Garage door spring broke. Called Friday AM, Jeff arrived early afternoon, quickly diagnosed the repair, presented repair options, verified springs were in stock on his truck, replaced, adjusted and serviced opener in roughly an hour. Highly recommend Ryder Garage Door and Jeff.

Showed up on time, diagnosed problem. Opener was 25 years old and worn out. They replaced the next day with a premium opener at half the cost of other estimates i received. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful company !! I received a call back immediately after submitting a request on Angi's List, Our garage door had a broken spring, Micah was scheduled for the following day. He showed up in the time frame provided, he accessed the situation explained how he was going to repair our issue and gave us price. Micah was a pleasure to work with as was Stephanie who returned my call and Jeff who answered on a follow-up call. They will be returning to install a new seal for the bottom of the door and install an outside key pad, might I ad at a very reasonable price, Moving forward they will always be my go to.

They really worked around my situation and they went above and beyond. I had a car stuck in my garage no one could get out and they came out for free and took the car out and gave me the most amazing price on the door and more reliable and efficient and most importantly Affordable.

Great company! My garage door had a broken spring, they came out within a half an hour after I called! Replaced the springs, adjusted all the moving parts very quickly. I highly recommend this company for any garage door repair.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
