This contractor did not show up for 2 appointments I made.
josh did a fantastic job on my patio and pad for my RV. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I will certainly hire him again.
I started not to provide a rating at all, but HA wouldn't quit sending request for ratings. On the initial project of the driveway with crush and run everything was good. on quality and customer service would have given him a 5. Felt price was a little over for labor after material and rental of equipment were accounted for...but knew that from beginning. Josh and his helper were very personable and completed the job within timeline. My issue as to why only overall 3.5 rating came afterwards. The initial driveway caused another problem...new driveway blocked drainage at joining part from existing driveway, which was the drainage point for all gutters, etc from entire front of my house. Next couple days of rain, I woke up to a lake at the entry to my garage. Contacted Josh with pictures and he came out 2 days later and only scraped some of the crush/run back to allow most of water flow off. Besides it looking horrible there was an open divot in the driveway. I contacted Josh again and thanked him for the temporary fix but what was the permanent fix... never heard from him again. I ended up having to purchase product at the cost of $210 and install it myself, so I could still drive over the driveway evenly and have all water flow off both the existing and additional driveway. Hiring someone to do the job was to fix all problems not fix one, create one.
Josh was fast, friendly, and efficient. He knows what he's doing. We really enjoyed working with him and we want to hire him to do more work for us. Great guy.
Quick response and install. Everyone involved with project was respectful and professional. Thank you
RETAINING WALL and BACK YARD: Old railroad ties retaining wall around the side of the house and back deck was crumbling, had to be replaced. Decided to use decorative stone block that would last much longer than wood. At the same time, we took the opportunity to carve out an actual back yard, instead of the steep hill that was there. So, the new retaining wall follows the privacy fence all the way around. Major project, but the retaining wall had to be replaced -- it was rotting. And the new block wall will add more value as well as increased back yardage. I contacted two landscapers on Home Advisor. From other reviews, I saw Josh had the most experience with this type of project. He gave us recommendations based on what we wanted, a detailed quote and we hired him. He and his crew did a FABULOUS JOB. He tore down the old retaining wall, excavated the back yard, installed Belgard Anchor Pro block wall. We chose "Carriage House" model, based on the reddish tint that would complement the red shutters/ red front door and roof shingles coloring. Project took just over two weeks, and Josh was very communicative throughout. We decided late in the project to make the wall a little higher. No problem. Again very fantastic experience working with Josh Horton.
