Needed a paver walkway for safe access up an 18 degree pitch section of front yard. Needed it to look attractive and to be safe. Humberto came up with great recommendation for paver choices and a beautiful montana river rock border. Have received many compliments from neighbors and notice people walking by stop to admire it. plus during winter snows we've had it is easy to clean up and is very safe for people to access from sidewalk to our front door.

We were referred to Raya Landscaping by the salesperson at the pavers distributor. They know a lot of landscapers, so that alone was meaningful. Victor and Javier did an excellent job installing a new patio in our side yard and repairing our backyard patio that had begun sinking from erosion and tree root damage. They are personable and knowledgeable professionals, with a great eye for aesthetic choices. Also, Humberto Raya (the business owner) is a great communicator. He totally visualized what I wanted, and knew the answers to concerns I had about drainage issues.

We hired Raya (Humberto Raya) to level a problematic backyard on two sides, take down a fence on the two sides of the yard, build a stone wall and then put in a new 6 foot fence on the two sides of the back yard where all the work needed to be done. He began the work the Monday following Thanksgiving in 2020 and he and his crew, Felipe and Victor, completed the job by December 30th. They were short two finishing stones which he had to order and he got back to me when they arrived and had Felipe come and finish the final touches with the last two stones. We were impressed by the estimated amount of the stone, treated cedar, and cubic yards of high quality soil. They left a pristine site and were responsible in all ways. We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Raya Landscape built a fence that was not straight on the top or bottom. A panel of top boards were several inches taller than the panel boards next to them. Several back railings were too short and did not even attached to bracket so fence boards were leaning forward. Some bottom boards were touching the ground, and some were off of the ground. A panel of boards were hung at a slant. All the white tags were left on. I had to file a complaint with the Oregon State Contractors board to have Raya Landscape fix the fence correctly. Had very poor communication with the owner Humberto and had to deal with his refusal to cooperatively work with me. When the Contractors Board got involved, Humberto told the Board that he did not have a contract with me, so therefore, he should not have to fix the fence. Humberto was very hostile and he scared me

I highly recommend Humberto and his team at Raya Landscape. They removed a 10 by 10 paver deck and replaced it with a 30 by 16 paver deck. They were able to use the old pavers to create a parking pad in the front of my house. I loved that we could reuse the old pavers for a new purpose. The quality of the work is outstanding. We agreed to a price and there were no additional costs. He showed up when he said he would. This crew even came on a Saturday. Hire this team, you wonâ t be sorry!

I simply cannot say enough good things about Raya Landscaping, Humberto and his crew. I've had them working at my house on multiple projects the past few months, around $17k worth, including laying a limestone patio, retaining walls (stone and wood), and paved walkways. First, they just do great work. Humberto will not settle for imperfect, and in all cases of changes or re-do's I asked for (because I'm a perfectionist), he was incredibly amenable and easy to work with (unlike many contractors who get annoyed or upset). They are punctual, responsible, so very polite and friendly, and leave the jobsite clean. Seriously, its the type of crew you want to invite inside for dinner. They have gone above expectations in pretty much every case. Also so importantly - Humberto actually does substantial work on each project, and is present almost 100% of the time the job is being completed. He is the owner, and one of the crew. I can't tell you how much a difference this makes, unlike other contractors who sell the project in and you hardly see them. I couldn't recommend a more trustworthy crew in all ways.

Humberto and his crew did an excellent job in designing and installing a walkway along the side of our house connecting the front down to the back of the house. He provided us great advice and took the time with various details of the project. We are very pleased with the finished product.
