Reviews
Write a ReviewWe hired Rick and RTP to finish our basement and I have to say that we were blown away with the professionalism, speed, quality, and price. From the first day of construction to the last day was under 4 weeks! Would highly recomend and cant wait to work with him again!
We needed a full bath installed in an already-finished basement over a concrete slab floor. I interviewed 6 contractors and multiple plumbers to get an idea what would be involved and to get a wide survey of what we could expect to pay. While RTP's bid was not the cheapest, I knew immediately that Rick knew exactly what would be required. Every Castle Rock city inspector commented that "RTP always does great work," which indicated to me we made a great decision to hire RTP for the job. Not only is the bath fantastic (completed it in just 2 weeks!), Rick and his entire team were a true pleasure to work with. RTP was ALWAYS on time (amazing in today's environment), we had great communication, they showed incredible flexibility during the job to roll with our requested changes, and the final product was, in a word, outstanding. I'm an engineer by education, an attention-to-detail military vet, and a stickler for doing things right. I HIGHLY recommend RTP. Many thanks, Rick!
Rick and his team did a phenomenal job remodeling our basement. It was a big job and they completed it in a month and it ended up being everything we wanted. The quality of work and the service was outstanding. We love our new basement.
Rick was awesome! He thought of everything and has great attention to detail! It felt like he treated my house as he would have his own. I am so pleased with not only the process but the outcome!!! Thank you Rick!!!!!
Rick was wonderful to work with. Our basement looks amazing and he quoted us a fair price! Definitely would recommend him!
Amazing work!!!
Rick was great. He did everything he promised and was a pleasure to work with.
Rick did a fantastic job on our basement. His bid was middle of the road for our basement remodel among many bids and he managed to complete it in a timely manner and it looks amazing! I would recommend him for any remodel job. Also just a note, our basement flooded a year later due to our main sewer line backing up and he came out to fix a ton of work that was ruined on very short notice over the holidays and worked with us on pricing. He s great!
RIP Construction completed my basement a month ago and I am completely happy with the work. I chose RTP because of the positive reviews which are very accurate. Rick is a pleasure to work with and he is very professional. He provided a payment schedule for payments and the job came in exactly what was projected. Rick made sure to get my feedback for things that i would not even think about i.e. locations of outlets and type of baseboards. My friends and family are very impressed with my basement and want the name of my contractor for work they are planning on.
The bid included several items that were not provided: electrical sub panel and all bathroom extras such as toilet paper holder, towel rack, and bathroom fan. One of the three doors he installed was busted. He tried to install a wall almost a foot from the outside wall because he did not want to move the sprinkler line. He subcontracts EVERYTHING, does not provide flooring, charges you extra for making him do what the initial bid included: installing a bathroom fan and installing a wall up against the outside wall. When you point out areas where the texture is cracking, rough, or just plain missing, he is response is to tell you how to fix instead of doing what you are paying him to do. On top of everything, I have to hook up the wiring for the coax and network cables because he does not normally do that. Not to mention he will not move any cables even though his bid says he brings your wiring up to standard. You are expected to do your own wiring. Generally speaking, the project looks like a contractor who was in a hurry and did not care about the quality of his work who just wanted to get paid.
It is unfortunate that this customer did not like the process of his basement project. We always try to please the customer during the construction phase to make sure they are completely satisfied with the work and the layout of the basement. I always encourage feedback and he had ample opportunity to let me know if something wasn't to his liking and I would have certainly taken care of any issues if I would have been aware of them, especially since he worked from home. I explained that the sub panel may be necessary in the utility room, but after the electricians looked at the main panel they thought it was best to run everything to it and m
