Write a ReviewI hired Manni for a construction project that was supposed to be completed by February 1st so I could rent out my property. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a terrible experience. He started the job but left it incomplete, ignoring multiple messages and making up excuses. It became clear that he got other job offers and abandoned my project without any professionalism or accountability. After waiting for nearly 20 days, I had to send a strong message for him to return. When he finally showed up, he only fixed a door?poorly?and left the rest of the contracted work undone. On top of that, he damaged some parts of my property and also uninstalled items and never installed again. I had already paid him, but the quality of his work was unacceptable, and I lost nearly a month?s rent because of his negligence. He is unreliable and unprofessional. If you do decide to work with him, make sure to record everything and never pay him in advance.
Project accepted with the notion that i was going to be away for one week beginning October 19. Contractor showed up on 10/19 and could not get into the site to perform work. The basement door was locked and i could not guarantee that it will be open while being away. He was asked to delay work for the week till i return. As a result he took another job which is understandable however he did not prioritize his time to complete my project. He sometimes try to come by do some and leave unfinished for a long time. We communicated many times, he tried his best but still continued to delay and delay. I visited the job many times with him indicating areas needed to complete (drywall and trimming unfinished). He agreed to install 4 doors per written contract but only did three doors with no door knobs or locks. He disputed the fact of 4 doors till i showed him the contract then claiming will get the 4th door. No one install doors without locks. On Dec 14, almost 3 months into the project, he implied that he will complete the work and will return Wednesday following to clean and buff the entire flooring with a machine. I made the final payment on 12/14 with the trust that he will do so. Later on, he changed his mind and says he will just clean and mop and no machine to buff the floor. Then came the Xmas holidays I was very patience with him, he said he was sick so no show. Didn't bother him till the New Year and i requested again to install the 4th door and to wrap the remaining unfinished work. He stated he has no other work and can complete the task. He said he lost my key to the house and that his van was caught on fire but he had a loaner car. Jan 16, I messaged him stating i bought locks for the doors for him to install which he refused to buy and he informed that Home Depot Maspeth NY had no doors. I checked out Home Depot Maspeth website and they had 23 doors listed and Home Depot Flushing had 7 doors. I offered to go with him to pick up the door and i think he indicated otherwise. Jan 22, i messaged him again requesting him to finish the job and that there are doors available in Maspeth. Reluctantly, he replied and i said i will put you in the schedule to finish. At the beginning of January he advised he had no work and can finish up. He kept procrastinating and on Jan 30 I informed him that i am tired of you putting me off as he claimed he can finish as he has no work. I again messaged him on Feb 5, no reply, and again on Feb 6. He later replied stating he got the flu and is sick. No more communication since then. This was a total disappointment and i would like to him to return some compensation for incomplete work.
Manny was very quick to respond to my project inquiry and helped us paint 4 rooms in our apartment on an extremely tight deadline. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and also very funny and nice to work with! We will definitely hire him again the next time we need help around our place (painting or otherwise).
I don’t normally write reviews but I could not help myself this time. I have used Angie’s List many times but was blessed enough to hire RC Contractor this time. When they say God puts the right people in front of you when you need it, that is how I feel about Manuel Rossi. I had just come out of a major surgery and was dealing with a leak that damaged my kitchen walls. The insurance company was giving me a hard time, and Manuel was so understanding and patient that he worked with me to achieve the desired results. He is not only professional, reliable, and efficient. He is truly a good soul, respectful, considerate, and kind. He has a lifetime customer in me, any painting job I have from now on, he will be the guy to call. Sent with Mailsuite  ·  Unsubscribe 01/20/25, 03:20:05 PM
Manny (Manuel) repaired a hole in our bathroom ceiling, and added molding, plaster and paint to seal and finish our new skylight. He was very professional and responsive. He gave us a fair price and completed the work within a week of the initial quote. We will definitely be reaching out again for future household repairs and needs!
Working with Manny was great. He was very quick in responding to our request, came to our home to check out the space, and gave us a really great quote. He also worked with us in finding a good date that matched best for us. Once the job was complete, he was very accommodating with any touch ups we requested. Manny was also very personable and funny which is always a plus. We are very happy with the final job and already plan to work with Manny again for a future project.
Manny did a fantastic job of painting my apartment. He was dependable, clean and demonstrated excellent skills when faced with a challenge. I look for to enlisting him for any future projects
Manny (Manuel) acted and performed professionally, from the quoting throughout the completion of the job, which had 2 change orders to cover for General Conditions, which are discovered after removing / replacing carpets. The job included 1. repairing / repainting walls 2. removing / replacing carpets.
Manny was quick, professional. Job was beautifully done. 2.5 days 5 star & 2 thumbs up! Thank you!
Absolutely thrilled with Manny's work! From start to finish, Manny was professional, punctual, and meticulous. He installed drywall and painted my basement, transforming it into a beautiful and functional space. The quality of his work is outstanding, with seamless drywall and a flawless paint job. Manny was also incredibly respectful of my home, keeping the work area clean and organized. Communication was excellent, and he made sure to address all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Manny for any drywall and painting needs. Five stars all the way!
