Write a ReviewThe quote part was fine. The bad part is nobody showed up on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday this week. I can not remember if I signed the quote (contract), but it is visible in Angie's app.
On completion of the job, the workers requested payment of $1950.00. They requested the check be written to "Teneilla Stults" The stated this was the company owner Joseph's wife. I requested and invoice or receipt. They stated Joseph would send it by email that evening. I inspected the grass on completion of the job. The first load of sod that was laid on the west side of the property was very yellow, compared to the second load of sod laid on the south side of the property. I took a picture of the seam of the two different sod lots. On Tuesday 11/19/24 I texted Jonathan at 9:50 am requesting the receipt and providing my address and email. At 3:49 pm, I called Jonathan to request the invoice or receipt for the job. I explained that I would need that documentation to take to the city for an adjustment to the water bill due to daily irrigation of new sod. I also shared by concern that the first load of sod was very yellow and I was concerned that it might not root. He assured me that it was normal, and that it was probably on the bottom. He stated he would "make it right" if the grass did not root and died. I texted Jonathan again on Thursday 11/21/24 at 9:50 am, again providing my address and email. By Friday 11/22/24 at 4:00pm I called Joseph again, and again provided my email. He stated he was not in his office and would not be able to send it until Saturday, which I stated was fine. By Monday, I called Angie's list to report my dissatisfaction. I have done some research, and found that although I ordered Zoysia, (even though it was more expensive), the sod that was installed in my yard is St Augustine, not Zoysia. This now makes sense why he will not provide an invoice for installing Zoysia. Initially, my interest in obtaining the receipt was to document. At this point the damage is done. I chose Zoysia specifically as it is rated the best for dogs. I specifically did not want St Augustine. My resolution requirement is to receive an invoice for the TYPE IS SOD that was installed and the fee received for the job. Additionally I want a written guarantee that Quality Landscaping will replace/repair any of the sod that fails to root and thrive. Although I realize that there is no guarantee that he will still be in business if/when the sod fails, it might at least support legal action against him. I suspect that asking for the payment to be written to a third party, and not the business, may be an attempt to avoid legal action.
Very happy with the work will definitely hire again
We hired them and it was a great decision. Everything turned out the way we wanted it to. We were very happy with the service and the price. Great guy to work with what a great team would definitely recommend.
Great company I would definitely refer them. They came in and gave me exactly what I requested a very timely and efficient manner and at a reasonable cost at that !!
They were very professional and knowledgeable so I gave him the job. Joseph came out the next day and installed my front and my backyard with new sod. We were very happy and satisfied would definitely recommend him and his team.
Warning: Avoid This Landscaping Company I had a terrible experience with a landscaper hired through Angies List. They were supposed to install Empire Zoysia sod but instead laid down cheaper Floritam St. Augustine without telling me. When questioned, the workers lied to cover up their deceit. After speaking to the sod supplier, I confirmed they intentionally picked up the wrong sod. The owners son, John, was on-site, pitching more business and even asking for cash tips, despite being listed as accepting credit cards. Joe, the owner, never showed up and dodged my calls. When I finally spoke to him, he was dismissive and accused me of being agitated and wanting him on-site during a hurricane, which was entirely untrue. This company has been dishonest, unprofessional, and failed to take responsibility. I regret not going with a more trusted landscaper. I hope Angies List removes them to save others from the same headache I experienced. Avoid this company at all costs!
We put our hearts into fulfilling this customer's request. After a phone conversation, he requested a specific type of grass that matched his neighbor's lawn. We worked tirelessly to replace his entire lawn with the desired grass, offering a discounted rate of $2300. The next day, he called demanding a redo due to the impending hurricane. We reassured him that we would address any issues post-storm. Despite our efforts, he left a negative review, which we regret. We strive to always put the customer first, but sometimes you can't please everyone.
