Reviews
Write a ReviewI am taking the time to post this review to save other people and their families from experiencing the same nightmare and loss of money that I and my family have suffered between April and September of 2021. Samuel Romo, owner of Qian Builders, has proven himself to be absolutely untrustworthy and completely undependable as a general contractor. Sam Romo never finished the home remodeling project that I paid out a total of $33,500 in advance payment plus $10,000 in materials and supplies to him, which he falsely promised to reimburse. He was seemingly always Robbing from Peter to pay Paul, frequently did not provide materials for his workers, very rarely supervised work that was performed, and continually requested extra funds to pay for materials completely outside of the agreed contract. Additionally, the few hired workers that did show up complained that they were not being paid in full for work performed. After several agonizing months, I was finally forced to cut my losses and fire Qian Builders, at extreme financial loss and trouble. My child cannot even attend his first semester in school from the home and community we are supposed to be living in by now. This is because Sam Romo promised to finish our house within 45 days in the Spring, yet many incredibly frustrating months have passed, with what I would estimate to have resulted in around 25% of the contract-specified work actually being completed. Moreover, Sam claimed to have used the entirety of the money that I paid out to him, though the vast majority of work specified in our contract was never completed. What is so dangerous about Sam Romo is he will come across as a gentle guy that knows what he is doing, will acknowledge his mistakes and praise you for calling him out on it, yet it will result in nothing he is all talk and no action. Do not fall for what I did. Do not trust Sam Romo and Qian Builders. You have been warned - I wish I had been.
