BEWARE! Payne Pool Professionals installed a new in-ground pool at our home. We paid them on time and as contracted. Upon completion of the pool, the plaster was discolored. Five months later, there were four cracks in the plaster and gunite, and our pool was losing water at an alarming rate. Payne refused to address the problems, and we wound up paying $16,637 out-of-pocket in repairs. For a new pool. Attempting to recoup the repair costs, we filed a lawsuit in District Court of Baldwin County (Case Nr. DV-2023-900369.00). The court ruled in our favor and entered a judgement against Payne in the amount of $18,137. We have never sued a company before and were astounded that Payne refused to stand by its warranty and disappeared. They have refused to acknowledge the courts judgement and we have had to hire more attorneys to collect. The judges ruling was: "It is ORDERED and ADJUDGED that a judgment is hereby entered in favor of the Plaintiff, [name redacted], and against the Defendant, Payne Pool Professionals, LLC in the amount of $16,637.60, plus $1,500.00 in attorney fee reimbursement, plus costs of Court and interest." Payne does not honor their warranty, instead claiming the customer does not properly maintain their pool. In our case, nothing could be further from the truth as we had a reputable (in business for over 25 years) professional pool company performing weekly maintenance from the time Payne completed the pool. A bevy of Better Business Bureau complaints (https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/gulf-breeze/profile/pool-contractors/payne-pool-professionals-llc-0683-90037626/complaints) filed against Payne show some consistent things about the company: Their work is suboptimal. They cut communication and do not follow up in a timely manner. They often blame the homeowner for not properly maintaining their pool as the reason they will not honor a warranty. We cannot warn you strongly enough against hiring this company. Photos posted on Google Reviews.

Had what I thought was a problem with my pool pump. Called this morning and he was at another job said he would try to come by in the afternoon. What a surprise when he called and said he was on his way. Solved the problem in a matter of minutes saving me several thousand dollars for a replacement pump. Can’t say enough about his knowledge and honesty. Highly recommended.

I just moved into a home with pool and had no clue why my pool wasn't working properly. I called Payne Pools to evaluate my system and within the hour they sent Sanders who was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He taught me how to work my pool properly, get my spa running, and gave me a quote for some of the outdated/broken equipment. HIGHLY recommend calling Payne Pools first. You won't be disappointed.

We had been wanting to design a lap pool for our backyard. Now , we have realized our dream with Payne pools. The entire process took 8 weeks from start to finish and has completely transformed our living space. The screen enclosure is not only practical but adds such a degree of security and beauty. From start to finish the professionalism of this company is excellent. We are still in awe over the completion of our new pool.

This Company Is An Absolute Disaster! (And That Really Is An Understatement) From Day One They Were Completely Unorganized/ Showed Up Without Needed Tools/Supplies And Equipment! Had Numerous Excuses For Everything They Did Horribly! The Workmanship Was Terrible From Start To Finish And When I Say Finish I Mean When They Received A Letter From My Attorney Asking For Their License And Insurance Info They Quit!/Abandoned The Project! They Not Only Completely Screwed Up The Pool Installation, They Also Caused Significant Damage To My Property and Pool/ Left My Yard And Property Riddled With Trash/ Dirt and Debris All Over The Property and Street Which I Had To Clean! This After Showing Up A Few Hours Here And There On This Whole Install! They Managed To Dump About Four Wheel Barrels Loads Of Dirt/Sticks And Rocks In My Pool During Backfilling! The Rain Since Has Dumped Even More! Which They Refused Clean! The Liner Is Pulling Out Of The Coping In Numerous Areas, There Is s Wrinkles Everywhere Inside The Pool/ The Seal Connecting The Steps Is Hanging Off! They Cut/Busted My Patio Because They Said They Needed To Because They Mis Measured Only For The Pool To End Up 3 1/2 To 4ft Away From The Patio/Broke My Vinyl Fencing! They Quit Without Adding The Chemicals I Paid For/Installing The Ladder I Paid For/Installing The 400 Sqft Of Decking I Paid For, Did Not Provide Me With The Starter Cleaning Kit I Paid For As Well As Did Not Provide The Pool School I Paid For All Of Which I Have Paid In Full for!! They Tried To Add/Gouge Me On Other Things I Did Not Request And/Or Agreed Top Pay For And They Refuse To Clean Up The Messes They Made That I Paid For Them To Clean, And Failed To Pay For All The Damage They Caused To My Property. I Can Go On And On With This Crap Show! There Is Just So Much! Do Yourself A Huge Favor And Hire Anyone Else But Them! You Will See Everything In My Case File Soon When It Is Filed By My Attorney! This Pool Has Just Become A Major Liability If The 22 Thousand Gallons Washes Out! My Address Will Be On The Lawsuit Filed With The Santa Rosa County Court (Clerks Online Public Records) If You Have Any Complaints/Loss Or Damage Please Contact Me I am Sure My Attorney Would Love To Change The Case To A Class Action Suit And Get Justice/Compensation For Us All! I Have Security Footage Of The Entire Mess From Day 1 So Let Them Try And Lie Their Way Out Of This One!

Just an overall bad experience. From the time they finally got done, we had and are still having pavers collapsing in. They came out once or twice to fix it but it never was done right. Each new spot that collapses we fix ourselves now. Before a year and a half was even up, rebar started to come through the poolside. They said that the warranty was up and they would not fix it without charging us. They never used enough Gunite and somehow that is our fault. At a glance, the pool looks nice. But the mistakes were numerous. And they are still causing us grief.
