Write a ReviewWhile the work was well done, the technician lied to me that the company charges a 10% fee for paying with a credit card and then suggested a check. When I was writing the check, the technician said he would not charge me taxes if I made the check out to him personally. I wasn't comfortable with that and made it out to the company. He was not happy about that. He was supposed to dispose of the replaced garage door opener, but I later found it at the corner of my front yard. I contacted David. Several days later, David returned my check and I paid via credit card and he provided a 10% discount. However, he made the comment that they usually only offer this to returning customers. Really? I did not feel like that was appropriate given that his technician tried to scam me. I also had to remind him to take the old garage door opener to avoid these types of interactions. I was surprised and disappointed. Also, when David came to return the check, he texted around 4:50 pm that he was nearby and asked if he could come by. I said yes, but that I had to leave by 5:30 for a meeting of my company. He was not here at 5:15 and I texted him. He said he was on his way. He did not show up until 5:30, when I was supposed to leave. I was late to my meeting. Poor customer service.
I highly recommend David and Pro Garage Door & Gate. They recently built and installed an electric driveway gate for me. Their price was surprisingly reasonable. They completed their work on time and very professionally, and they made sure I was fully satisfied before collecting the final payment. If I have a minor issue, itâ s that David can be a bit slow to return texts or phone calls, and I recommend having a very strong idea about what you want. David will show you a lot of examples of the companys work, but, either because he prefers not to, or out of very deep respect for the customer, he does not make any recommendations on the design. Those, again, are very minor complaints, particularly in comparison with my overall satisfaction with the customer service. Several times, David went over and above to ensure that I got what I wanted. At one point, after his crew installed the frame, I voiced a complaint to one of the workers about a welding choice they made. Upon further thought, I decided that my complaint was unwarranted, so I did not express it to David. But, without prodding from me, David had the crew completely rebuild and reinstall the frame to the exact and frankly somewhat anal specs that I wanted. On another occasion, David took a long walk around the neighborhood with me, so I could point out designs and colors I liked. While the entire process was not 100% seamless â what contracting work is? -- Davids commitment to the customer ensured that the final product was precisely what I wanted. You will have a tough time finding a better option than Pro Garage Door & Gate.
They did exactly what I wanted. They are very professional and communicated well with me.
