They told me my chimney would be brought up to code, but now my brick chimney was taken down so low that itâ s not even near code compliant. Had their work inspected: it was sloppy, incomplete, and (most importantly) not up to code. The guy representing this company will argue and say it is, but it is not even close; the code is the code: chimney should be 3 ft above the roof and chimney should terminate 2 feet higher than any point within 10 feet of the chimney. I have no dormers on that roof, Iâ m venting appliances, this chimney is definitely not up to code; they lied to me, they did a hack job, and they overcharged me. I couldâ ve maybe lived with being overcharged, but I canâ t let this go like this. I definitely do not recommend them.

The person representing Northgate gave me an exorbitant estimate which I fell for not knowing the real costs for this job. I am in the process of trying to get most of my down payment back. I contacted the PA Attorney Generals Office and filed a claim. I found this company on Angis List. I will never use it again.

Hi Betty You hired us to do a work on your property then when we raised another issue about another problem on your property with you you agreed the work that needed to be done wile this was going on you where getting further advice of somebody else what we can't get round why didn't you not have them in the first place to do the work if they knew so much about what needed to be done then in the middle of the repairs getting carried out you said i dont want your guys to work today later that evening you sed you would like to cancel after my guy had been working on your property that was not a proplem we even offered to pay you back most of y

I had so many other companies come out and they didn't know what they where doing the guys from northgate home improvements handled everything kept me in the loop what was going on I had water in my basement for years had multiple contractors do work, but they couldnâ t fix the problem, but Northgate home improvement did fix the problem and would highly recommend them honest hardworking team thanks again from James
