James and his team did a great job with an electrical panel upgrade. This was thought to be a straightforward project, but other electrical issues became apparent as the project progressed. They were able to troubleshoot, diagnose the problems, and resolve them. The amount they charged for the project was the lowest rate offered, compared with 6 other company quotes. Overall the value and the workmanship are excellent, and I highly recommend them for any project you may have. Also, having recently purchased the home, we knew nothing really about the solar panels that were installed. James is very knowledgeable, and he helped educate me about my solar system and what to expect. I really enjoyed working with James and his team.

We had James out for an on-site estimate for a few home improvement ideas. We scheduled his team for a ceiling fan install in our primary bedroom and office. Their team was diligent and hard working, lots of problem solving for our high slope vaulted ceilings. Turned out wonderful and we plan to book them again for another project this winter.

I can highly recommend New Design Electric. I contacted them to install a car charger in my garage. I knew nothing about this, and James explained what needed to be done and patiently answered all my questions. The job increased in scope when it was determined my electrical panel had to be replaced or a second panel installed in order to accommodate the new circuit. I was provided with clear explanations of the alternatives and cost estimates. James and his crew went above and beyond to put the charger exactly where I wanted it in the garage. The work was done in a very professional and timely manner. And, when my new car arrived sooner than expected, James accommodated my schedule and completed the installation the next day. I could not have asked for more.

James, Graham, and Lazaro did a fantastic job on our home rewiring and panel upgrade. James came out fast for the initial quote, turned it around very quickly after the site visit, and got us on the schedule quickly after we decided to move forward. His price was extremely reasonable compared to quotes from other highly rated providers, especially considering that they included drywall patching, which most other firms didn't. At several points in the job, small changes needed to be made (moving switches, adding some lighting, removing old fixtures and their support, installing fans, etc.). We had good back-and-forth discussions in figuring out the right solutions, and all three team members were extremely responsive and cooperative in making sure these fixes were made as requested. They treated our house with as much care as their own. I highly recommend New Design.
