Nelson and Sons Builders

I hired John Nelson and Sons a short time ago to remove a 40-year-old deck and replace it with an 18 by 22 foot composite deck. I had put off replacing the deck for several years for I had not found a builder I was comfortable working with. John was very straightforward and receptive to my plans for the deck from the beginning. I was pleased with the personal dealings I had with both John and his sons, and I was equally pleased with the quality of their workmanship. The deck turned out better than I ever hoped it would. The pricing was extremely fair considering the quality of workmanship. If I had another decking job to do, I would immediately hire them again.

This company did an amazing job for us. We wanted to extend our deck to and use trex vs wood. John met with me a few times and really helped me understand my options and made sure the deck met our families needs. His team, including his sons, were very skilled and you can tell they take pride in their work. They also saved us a lot of money, this deck could have been way more expensive. I would highly recommend them!

What a great group of guys. On time, helped with the layout and thoughts on lighting. Personable and took great pride in their work. We love the result.

John Nelson & sons did a great job of replacing my two wood decks with Trex composite decks. John was very easy to deal with, very experienced on deck replacement. He made great recommendations and clearly explained everything they would be doing. His sonâ  s crew worked very hard and very efficiently like an experienced team. Nelson and sons were not the cheapest quote I got and they were not the highest either but they were by far the best value. Based on my experience with them, I highly recommend them.

Crew showed up on time, discussed all changes and or modifications with us and did great professional job. Very satisfied with total experience.

The deck looks fantastic!!! We have a very large deck that was originally wood. Johnâ s sons and team worked hard to demolish the old deck and put the new one on, even through the tough heat. The deck looks incredible with the crew paying careful attention to detail and constantly looping us in to get our thoughts on how we wanted it to look. Throughout the process, we had different choices to make with lighting and lattice around the bottom which the crew were able to guide us through these decisions and tell us their recommendations. The crew was so nice and friendly while working. After they finished, they did a final look with us to make sure everything was how we liked. They even wiped down the vinyl railings and hosed any dirt off the deck. It was a great experience-highly recommend them if you are in need of a new deck! Thank you!!!

The level of skill of their crew and professionalism was beyond outstanding. This was a 2 week project in tremendous summer heat. They started at 9 am every day and worked until 4 P.M. they replaced our 30+ year old deck with a magnificent composite deck including demolition and repair of footings and braces as necessary. A large job done on time, on budget and on spec. Hire them for your next deck project!

They were all wonderful. Mr. Nelson kept in contrast communication via text with me so I knew what was going on. They came within two days, did a great job and arrived on time cleaning everything up after they were finished. I would highly recommend this company.
