I strongly recommend talking to My Insulation Guy before making a final decision. Put simply: knowledgeable & experienced, honest, at a very fair price. 5 stars is nice to see, but if youâ re like me, you want details stating why someone gave a good review to see if you can expect the same. Please keep reading. I got 4 estimates prior to calling My Insulation Guy. 2 of them were terrible (lots of upselling, high-priced materials). 2 of them seemed okay, but I decided to get at least 1 more. There was a noticeable difference in the estimate process with Daniel at My Insulation Guy. He took the time to ask about the big picture and what we were trying to solve for, he gave options of things he could do to help, and also offered insights into other things that were contributing to the overall problem. He thoroughly inspected the attic, walked through the house with a thermal imaging camera to highlight problem areas, and emailed several pictures of the attic to give us a better understanding. He was the only estimator that actually measured the insulation throughout the entire attic (the existing insulation was not the same depth in all areas). He attached rulers to the joists to show insulation levels before and after, which also prove we now have a consistent amount of insulation throughout. We discussed different ways to remedy various problems, the cost for each solution, whether or not it was a DIY project, and the benefit expected so we could make an informed decision within our means. We may have spent more time talking about services that we werenâ t considering hiring him for than we did about the work he ended up doing. However, even after I told him I could probably do it myself, he went into detail telling me how I could do it and where I could save money getting the supplies. Daniel offered references to other companies that he has dealt with if it was not a service he provided. He was genuinely trying to help us! When the insulation was installed My Insulation Guy went above and beyond. There were some small details he found, such as a bathroom vent that was not connected to a hose. He had a part in his truck to fix this on the spot and prevent further issues at no extra charge. He didnâ t have to do that and we likely would have never known. Good character = doing the right thing when no one is looking. He did a great job documenting his work with pictures. It wouldâ ve been tough to get up in the attic afterwards to see all of the small gaps that he sealed, which add up to low energy efficiency. After he was done he sent those pictures to us, so now we have all of the before & after pics and can be certain he did everything (and more) that he quoted. Additionally, they brought their own vacuum and left our house cleaner than before! Iâ ve experienced several big companies with great reputations perform mediocre work at premium prices. My Insulation Guy was exactly the solution I was looking for. I took the time to detail my experience because Iâ m extremely satisfied with My Insulation Guy and I hope others in my situation benefit from this hidden gem of a company.

Daniel is very knowledgeable and professional.. does a great job.. cleans up and his service's are very affordable..

The person who gives you an estimate is the person who does the work. All was fully explained. He took pictures of before and after. Daniel was very intent on doing a good job and that it be done right. Also clean up afterward was great. I felt the price for our job was fair and I can tell a difference already in the evenness of temperature in our home. I am very well pleased.

Daniel did an excellent job bringing our house up to code with insulation in the attic, he added insulation barriers to the walls to the living space, that were not insulated. Also he fixed the vents on the attic as some had mold (thank you) Daniel did an excellent job and came in on budget. And his bid was right on point and he worked with us on installation scheduling.
