Terrible ongoing experience. 3 yrs. later and our combi unit still doesn't work. They claim it's past warranty but we informed them of the issue a week after it was installed. They tried everything they knew(which wasn't anything ) They replaced the unit, it still didn't work. They blamed our shower water mixer, so we had our bathroom remodeled, trusting they knew what they were talking about, again ,lack of knowledge about the product they sell and install. They offered to install a water tank because they knew it was a problem, when we rejected that solution as just plain dumb, (I think you get a combi unit to eliminate a water tank) So bottom line is they installed this unit that has never worked. These idiots should know whether or not your plumbing is appropriate for the unit to work BEFORE they install it and bill you 14,000. Now I have to hire a plumber to figure out and fix what they can't or won't and then hire a lawyer to sue them for the cost, which, if they had been knowledgeable about their product in the first place, any added cost should have been included in the quote they gave us. To top it all off I have a blind intellectually challenged daughter that struggles physically and emotionally with taking a shower. We're getting older and the purpose of this whole thing was to make life easier for her and her caretaker when we're gone. They've ruined the value of our home. DO NOT HIRE THESE INCONSIDERATE JACKASSES!!!

Response from Company:

What you fail to mention in every review and complaint that you leave on the internet are the following: You notified us of the issue approximately 1 year after installation, which is out of the industry standard warranty period, yet we still tried to work with you for 2+ years in spite of your foul language and degrading commentary, despite being out of warranty we performed dozens of service calls free of charge and found no issues, upgraded your piping near the system (not part of our scope that you approved) free of charge, replaced your unit with a brand new unit (valuing more than your original quote) free of charge, had the manufacturer's rep out who confirmed the system was working properly, hired an independent plumber that determined the issue was with YOUR existing plumbing, and offered to install a stand alone water heater free of charge which you approved and scheduled then the day our crew arrived you sent them away....... all while taking your bullying, shameful, insulating, and foul remarks towards us and our staff. At one point you questioned "what kind of mother are you" to one of the women who works for us. Something that has absolutely nothing to do with your system being sold/installed by a company. Among many other terrible things you've said. Regardless, we spent thousands and thousands trying to rectify a problem that never indicated the system we installed was an issue. Third parties that you demanded come out all concluded the same, the issue is your existing plumbing, not your heating/hot water equipment. Trust me, if there was a problem with our system/work we would have fixed it already as to not waste thousands and be subjected to this constant nonsense. We discussed hiring yet another plumber of your choosing to diagnose your issues and that if they were in fact proven to be related to our work, then we would pay for it. At that point you started again with your degrading language and threatened to sue. I encouraged you to reach out to a third party such as the BBB and/or an attorney. The BBB refused to work with you because of your language and you had no proof we were at fault, just dozens and dozens of derogatory emails with no facts or evidence there is an issue. You've been threatening to sue for a year or more. An attempt to bully your way into a fat check. I encourage you to not to write reviews at 12:07 am and hire an attorney so that a third party who doesn't call people idiots and jackasses can rectify your concerns. We will not continue to have these back and forth discussions on reviews while you continue to send demeaning emails to our staff. Majic Air has backup and documentation for every visit, email, insulting comment and are ready to meet with whoever necessary to put this to bed.

Tankless installed but never worked, hot water goes cold after 10 minutes in all faucets and shower, they are incapable of fixing it and told me to hire a plumber, so I have a $14,000 paper weight in my basement

Response from Company:

Update 5/22/2024 Laurie, As per your email dated 5/21/24, you state, "We had a plumber come out for a diagnosis and estimate. They say it's the mixing valve in the shower and will charge 2100.00 to replace the valve and the pipes.". As you are aware, we are a heating and air conditioning company and you have confirmation that your issue is your domestic plumbing and unrelated. Glad you got a resolution. Thank you. Original Response: Laurie, Despite your unit being well out of the industry standard labor warranty, we have tried numerous attempts to address your concern, all at no cost to you. These attempts included many service calls, a visit from the manufacturers rep as well as an independent plumber who all said it was working properly. We offered alternate options to which you accepted and then declined the day we showed up to do said work. Then, at your request, we replaced the entire unit with a brand new one at no cost to you, yet you are still dissatisfied. Now, at this point, you are just asking for money. Due to your nasty communications and foul language, we asked that you contact the BBB or a lawyer in order to have a third party mediate this in a more productive manner because every option we offer you decline, unless it's cash. We're still happy to work with a mediator of some sort to either resolve your issue or prove that the system is working as designed to.

Installed a ductless minisplit for three rooms in my house. The work quality was superb. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for this kind of work.

I recently experienced a problem with my heat pump unit. These units are very specific to the area they fit in and how they hook up. There are not a lot of options. I was told that I needed to replace it for over $7000 but while obtaining add'l quotes, the salesperson (Peter) from Majic Air came in and let me know the unit did not need to be replaced. The very next day I got an early morning appt and the technician (Chris) showed up on time and quickly determined it was the motor on my fan. For a FRACTION of the cost I now have a very cool house again. Of course, the 70 degree weather came but it's running and ready for the next heat wave.

I will give Majic Air a review rate of 1. The crew and salesperson were nice and punctual but they lacked experience and knowledge of the mini-split system they were hired to install. The location of controls and thermostats was convenient for the installer versus what was best for me, the customer. They installed 5 mini-split. There was a group control was screwed on the oil boiler panel. I do not know anyone that lives in a two-story house that would love to go all the way to the basement to adjust their house temperature. No one asked where I would like this group control to be installed. This control was later removed and holes were left on my boiler. Another example, I had requested wifi and integrated controls with my system which would require an external thermostat sensor. The location of the sensor was not in an ideal location for the temperature read to be accurate. When I explained the issue of the inaccurate read, they said to increase/decrease the thermostat temperature to make up for the difference. The supervisor did not seem surprised, I feel this should have been explained during the installation process. I did my own research and read the instructions stating that for external thermostat installation, the sensor was supposed to be 4 to 6 ft above ground and not have been installed next to a window and away from concrete and asphalt. It is currently installed close to the driveway above the basement hopper in direct sunlight. In addition to this, during the installation, after installing wired controls to three walls, they realized that the unit they had installed was not compatible with the wifi modules. They told me that I needed to choose between wired control or wifi, so I chose the latter. They were unable to configure the integrated controls and the wifi, so I canceled this part of the order. Based on what I stated above, they obviously did not have any experience doing this type of work. Currently, after they removed the Wi-Fi modules, they failed to re-install the wired controls. The system is not working properly, due to the missing wired controls. I called the office and emailed the salesperson but no one has replied to me. During the installation, my siding was damaged (the salesperson tried fixing it, but, it does not look good), my boiler has holes on it and I had to repaint the walls. I would stay away from them. I, personally, am not sure, if the good reviews are real or if they lost all their experienced staff. My town ordinance requires a permit for HAVC installations, no permit was pulled. I should have checked for the permit before they started the work. After all the mistakes described above, I wonder if everything was done to code.

Arrived on time each day, went right to work, very efficient. The worker's were very professional, informed us of what was going on for the day. The job took about a week to do which was expected. Any questions we had they were able to answer. Will hire this same company to service our new furnace ongoing.
