The entry gate to our home was coming out of the wall and not properly closing. Workers secured the gate with heavy anchors and did a great job, very professional crew. Will definitely use them again in the future.

I was contacted by Mr. Shannon Barry and his wife. They were promp, respectful, talented. I have a plan to use them for all of my repair needs in the future. As good as Mr. Barry is his wife which is his helper is his most valuable tool. Awesome job

Shannon provided me with 2 of his best workers to finish multiple projects around my home on short notice. They installed 3 toilets, 1 refrigerator, a washer and dryer, and a new shower head. They were on time, professional, and the price was fare.

Outstanding quality of work and customer service. As a Military Veteran, I always seek out Veteran firms to do business with.

I would not recommend this company at all! They have done a poor job at fixing some of the stuff, for example my broken shower handle came off again only 2 days after it being ‘fixed’. The original agreement was that they will charge us $65ph minimum of 2h. However the main handyman came in with 2 helpers and tried to charge us for 3 workers so instead of paying $390 he tried to charge us $1,170! Also he tired to get reimbursed for some items he purchased for his own toolbox! And finally in addition requested to be paid 20% procurement fee for going to the store and getting the parts which came up to almost $90. When we tried to dispute the invoice we were met with hostility and bad business ethics especially from the handyman’s wife (the office manager of the company). Not even a week has passed since the job was done and only 4 days since we received the invoice, that they have decided that we are unwilling to pay it and so they have put forward a preliminary notice for a linen to be put on our house. This all could have been avoided if they were upfront about their charges and were willing to discuss the invoice issue in a business like manner! However the fact that they have wasted no time in arguing their case and the fact that only 10 days after the job was done we have received the preliminary notice in mail makes us believe that this is not the first time they have done something like that!
Response from Company:
We are a General Contractor, not a handyman service. We have a long list of very satisfied customers. If anyone looking at this less than good review (2nd by this customer) has any reservations, please give us a call. It would be my pleasure to put you in contact with them and they can give you a truthful assessment of our services. I could sit here and dispute everything that was said above but do not feel it necessary to banter back and forth in a she said, she said match of words. This is one persons account, one side of the story, one persons opinion aimed at making them a victim. We know that we cannot please everyone, we accept that. We hope that these customers find another company to complete their projects for the wages that they are willing to pay. A good note for anyone seeking to hire services at their home: educate yourself when you hire a Contractor or Handyman, make sure they are licensed, bonded and insured. Ask for their license number and check them out on the Contractors State License Board. Make sure you are aware of what you are being charged, hourly services generally come with a larger price tag and can be shocking, so we suggest you ask for an estimate for the entire project. Not all companies give free estimates, make sure to ask if you will be charged. Don't be afraid to negotiate a price or ask for a price breakdown if you are having several things done. Ask if the price includes labor and material. Contractors and Handymen, by law, can place a Preliminary Lien on your property to cover themselves, should the customer decide they do not want to pay. This does not mean there is a lien against your home, it simply is put in place as a precaution and lets the State know that you are working on this project. A Preliminary lien can be turned into a Mechanics Lien (this is the lien against a property) if payment is not made by the customer. This is basically the same as it would be if a Contractor or Handyman was paid to complete a project and then took money and did not complete it, as the customer you would then file a law suit, same principle. The law also allows a markup of a maximum of 20% on materials procured by the Contractor or Handyman (this is for time and use of their vehicle). You can save yourself time and money by getting the materials yourself before the project starts or you can do a phone sale. Most major box stores (Lowe's/Home Depot) will do a phone sale at the ProDesk. The Contractor or Handyman should not charge you the 20% if the money is not put out of their pocket. There may be a small pick up fee, but this can also be negotiated with your estimate. Educating yourself is key to a successful project.
